I am obsessed with my under eye area, I inspect it daily checking for fine lines and over the years have tried more eye creams than I care to admit. A few have been good and as such have been repurchased several times over but very few are great. As a matter of fact the only eye cream that has ever truly blown me away was an accidental find, a product bought in a moment of desperation and lack of suitable choices - it was purchased in the U.S, where seemingly all eye products contain Retinol. I don't have strong feelings in regards to Retinol but due to being still fairly young with an easily irritated complexion, I do tend to avoid it. On a somewhat whim I added CeraVe Eye Repair Cream to my cart and have not looked back, I am now cracking open my third tube since October - if that doesn't cement my love for the product, I'm not sure what else will.
The more I learn about ingredients, the more I demand from my skincare. I need, yes need, my eye cream to be deeply nourishing, soothing, hydrating and loaded full of anti-ageing technology and if possible, have the ability to repair the skin. A fairly lengthy list of requirements yes, but given that the under eye skin is so delicate and prone to signs of premature ageing, who can be mad at a girl for wanting the world? CeraVe Eye Repair Cream more than answers the above call and then some.
CeraVe Eye Repair Cream is nothing short of fantastic, no really - this gentle yet quick to absorb, comforting-come-cooling eye cream is packed with Niacinamide (vitamin B3, an anti-ageing ingredient that may also promote an even skin tone with continuous use), ceramides (these may help to repair the skin barrier over time) and hyaluronic acid (to aid the skin in naturally retaining moisture). This fragrance free cream, has been created by dermatologists to not only nourish and hydrate the delicate eye area but repairs existing damage (I find it plumps out fine lines rather well) and may help to slow down the ageing process - I live in eternal hope.
From the first application I was smitten: it brightens, comforts and smooths - all with anti-ageing technology and at a fairly impressive price point despite being an U.S import. Heart eye emojis all round. I rather like that this has been created with all ages and skin types in mind; the deeply hydrating formulation is intense enough for more mature complexions, yet mild enough for youthful skin needs too. As it doesn't contain Retinol you don't have to worry about irritation and for those like myself who suffer from Milia, I can happily say that this does not contribute to the problem. For the sake of balance and full transparency, I have read that CeraVe Eye Repair Cream can reduce under eye circles as it is not something I suffer from I can not vouch if that is true or not. What I can say, is that I am beyond enamoured with this eye cream and believe it will take a "miracle" product to convince by to become disloyal. I'm all in.
Yes it does take around two weeks to arrive from the U.S, and yes the price is a little inflated due to importation but trust me when I say it is worth every penny. If brightened, softened and plump skin is all you have wished for in regards to your eye area, make this your next purchase. When I jet off to the U.S next I plan on stockpiling a good few bottles - the addition is real.

Thanks for the informative post! I love all things skincare related and for me this sounds worth trying as my eyelids are very sensitive to various creams and I do have slight dark circles around them. Yes, it's always the best products that are a bit pricey/tricky to get your hands on . . !

I'm in need of a new eye cream and this sounds perfect, so can't wait to give it a try! I would never have picked this up if I saw it in a shop, but that just shows you should never judge a product by its packaging!
