Bourjois Night Lights in Paris Collection

It's a well known fact, well at least in my mind that December is the season of glitter - sparkling clothing, dazzling shoes and glistening make up launches. Forget gaudy, difficult to apply, let alone wear make up launches and save your money for the Bourjois Night Lights in Paris Collection - a line up of refined, classic yet glitter based eyeshadows and nail colours, coupled with classic red lips and a shimmering setting powder. It is old school glamour at its best.

Boujois Smoky Stories Quad Eyeshadow Kits £7.99 each - link.
Excuse the horrid, glitter based pun but the real stars of this collection is the two new Smoky Stories Quads - two mini palettes that feature, sparkling, glitter and matte based eyeshadows that are a dream to apply and wear. First up we have Bourjois Grey-zy in Love, four cool toned shimmer and glitter based eyeshadows: two pale silver hues, coupled with a gold and navy blue - all you need to create a subtle or full on smoky eye. If you prefer deeper, intense shades there is Bourjois Smoky Stories Quad in Welcome Black with a glitter based navy blue, olive green and light gold assortment, completed with a velvety, soft matte black eyeshadow. Both palettes are beautifully pigmented, non-gritty and teamed with a primer, long wearing. At just £7.99 a palette they are an utter steal - perfect for the festive season and beyond.

Bourjois Illuminating Java Rice Powder (£9.99) - link
If you enjoy multi-tasking yet kind to the wallet products, a pot of Bourjois Illuminating Java Rice Powder should top your to purchase list. Best described as a gently shimmering, illuminating loose powder this is light reflecting setting powder is so finely milled, it feels weightless on the skin. Yes it may appear to be a tad stark come glittery in the pot, rest assure this does not translate on to the skin in such manner; rather it provides a soft radiant effect that I would deem to be almost on par with Chanel's Healthy Glow Sheer Powder. You can lightly dust this all over your face to set make-up and reduce signs of excess oil, or apply in targeted areas to use in place of a typical highlighter. I can also attest that this is one of the few shimmer based facial products that does not settle into enlarged pores nor fine lines - yes even those under the eyes.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Red-volution (£8.99) - link
I live for new shade additions to the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick collection; a budget friendly range of long wearing (no smudging, smearing nor flaking), comfortable to wear liquid lipsticks. The latest addition is a light, muted yet blue toned classic red that should suit most complexions. Admittedly this is one of the sheerer shades within the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick collective, as such you may want to apply more than one layer to create opaque coverage.

Lastly and to complete any festive look there are two new nail enamels to choose from: Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Enamel in No.39 It's Raining Stars - a light, bright, silver glitter top coat and 1 Seconde Nail Enamel (£5.99) and Bourjois So Lacque in No.22 Rouge Diva - a classic, blue based red.

If any collection is perfect for the festive season it is the Bourjois Night Lights in Paris Collection.
