Nailbox July 2015 Tropical Treats

If you are a complete nail buff or simply looking to expand your nail polish and care collection without breaking the bank, all the while receiving premium and covet worthy brands, then your next purchase should be a Nailbox. Forget beauty box subscriptions for a while and sign up to Nailbox - a monthly, direct to your door themed box of nail goodies for just £15.

This month and fitting as it is technically Summer (Glasgow has yet to receive the memo or the sunshine for that matter), the theme is Tropical Treats. Inside Nailbox July you will find three nail polishes: two premium, one high street and a fun nail art tool. The colours have been carefully selected so that they not only suit the season/theme but also the plates within the nail art stamping tool - i.e you have a white polish for a perfect base come backdrop. The attention to detail is second to none and I have yet to receive a polish or product within Nailbox that I won't happily use - easier said than done if beauty boxes have taught us anything.

The three polishes are:
  • China Glaze White on White Nail Lacquer - a glossy, bright white crème polish that is opaque in two coats. Ideal for using as a base for the included stamping tool or of course as a stand alone polish for a chic, crisp manicure.
  • OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian Nail Lacquer - a pretty, mid tone come sugar pink that is glossy in finish and again opaque in two quick coats. It is one of the few pink shades that  find looks great on all complexions and is the perfect middle grown between bright and pastel - a wonderful staple pink polish.
  • Barry M Speed Dry Nail Paint in Purple - not quite lilac, yet lighter than your typical run of the mill purple hue. As the name suggests it dries quickly and offers full coverage in two coats, with a crème come glossy finish. This shade pairs up beautifully with the above white and pink polish but this is not by coincidence as earlier mentioned.

Completing the box is a Moyou London Nail Stamping Kit in Tropical, this consists of a metal stamping plate embossed with palm leaves, tropical plants and flowers, a polish scraper and of course a stamping tool. To use you simply brush the polish onto the plate, scrape off the excess using the supplied tool and then use the stamping gadget to pick up the polish and then apply to the nails. It is simpler than I make it sound and a great way to create fun, graphic nails in the comfort of your home.

A great concept wouldn't you agree?
