Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF30

I wear SPF every single day without fail but as someone with enlarged pores, I do often find that I need to combine a primer with foundation for as close to a flawless finish I will ever achieve. Daily layers of product quickly add up: moisturiser, SPF, primer, foundation and powder which can become uncomfortable, especially in humid weather - well Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF30 combines the technology of a perfecting primer and protection of SPF in one. It is every part as genius as it sounds.

The only aspect of the Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF30 that I don't really enjoy is the packaging, the round pump dispenser come lid is not only tricky to use but has a habit of falling off mid application. I have no idea if perhaps that is only problem specific to my bottle but I have had to leave it behind on many a trip for this very reason. It is a shame as the Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF30 is ideal for travel as it combines two products but I don't have the patience to route around my bag/case/room for the lid when strapped for time.

The actual product in my opinion is flawless, a silken translucent gel (suitable for all skin tones) based primer that quickly slicks on to the skin to not only prime but also protect. Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF30 has been formulated to gently soften the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores, it does so without a heavy sensation nor blocking the pores - even with continuous use. Oddly when applied to the skin despite being a gel texture it is not cooling but rather it almost warms, it is not unpleasant and after reading several reviews it seems to be common place and not an allergic reaction. It quickly absorbs into the skin, creates a matte and velvet soft canvas that allows liquid, cream and powder make-up to apply seamlessly on top. I also find that it helps to prolong make-up wear to some extent too but does not offer oil control.

Most impressively Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF30 also contains an SPF30 which is broad spectrum, meaning it will effectively protect the skin from both UVA and UVB rays. If you struggle with daily SPF either remembering to apply it, and/or you find it irritates your skin this could be a great find. Being a primer I'm sure more will remember to apply this over a standalone product and as it is gel texture it doesn't irritate the skin, nor clog the pores meaning a break out is less than likely.

Expensive? Yes but it really is a great time saving, skin protecting and perfecting product that I can't help but recommend it to all who loathe wearing layer upon layer of product. It can of course be used as a stand alone facial SPF should you wish - the blurring technology is only an added bonus!
