Summer is my favourite season for fragrance launches, not only do they come thick and fast but normally they tend to be fresh, fruity and often aquatic. If you are due to treat yourself be it at Duty Free (hello discounts) or simply because you deserve it (you do), I have rounded up my top picks to make the decision a little easier...

Calvin Klein Eternity Summer 2015 Eau de Parfum - light, carefree, slightly aquatic yet also a soft, warm floral with key notes of Peony and creamy sandalwood. A great scent for those who like long wearing yet delicate fragrances.

Vera Wang Hippie Princess Eau de Toilette - a super girlie, fruity floral that has an almost candy like note. If you are a fan of the likes of Britney Spears Fantasy and the original Vera Wang Princess this is one to look out for. As a reference notes include Mango, White Freesia and Apricot, a really lovely young everyday scent.

Diptyque Florabello Eau de Toilette - a floral for those who like something a little more unusual. Diptyque Florabello contains green notes and an unexpected twist of coffee and sesame seeds. To try it is to love it!

Escada Turquoise Summer Eau de Toilette - Summer isn't quite Summer until I have sampled that years limited edition Escada offering. Let me tell you Escada Turquoise Summer Eau de Toilette does not disappoint - bright, fruity and very easy to wear. Notes include berries (Strawberry and Raspberry), Vanilla and Sandalwood.

Karen Walker A Eau de Parfum - Designer Karen Walker has just launched three new fragrances, my personal favourite is Karen Walker A Eau de Parfum - a bright, zesty citrus that reminds me of Mojito cocktails. Don' worry if that is not your thing there is two other options to choose from.

CK One Summer 2015 - If like myself you enjoy slightly more unisex fragrances then this is the one for you. A very sharp blend of lemon, lime, gin (yes really) and watermelon it is ideal for those who want a very aquatic and beach ready scent - it has completely changed my thoughts and feelings towards to CK One fragrances that is for sure.

Davidoff Cool Water Woman Summer Seas Eau de Toilette - I'd love to say this is worlds apart from the original Davidoff Cool Water Woman but it isn't, that is not to say it is not enjoyable because it is. If you are a huge fan of aquatic fragrances that don't ring masculine this is for you - a subtle and refreshing blend of melon and lily of the valley.

Roberto Cavalli Paradisco Eau de Parfum - A powdery soft floral that is perhaps better suited for evening wear and the least typical Summer offering of the bunch. It is very long wearing and dare I say it a little on the intense side, none the less it is utterly beautiful and perfect for making a statement with notes of Jasmine and Bergamont.

For fans of Fig based scents there is two new utterly irresistible launches: Roger and Gallet Fleur de Figuier Eau de Parfum rich, fruity and a little on the musky scent - perhaps the most grown up fig based scent I have come across. For those who want a little something less than ordinary the new L'Occitane Figuier & Osmanthus Eau de Toilette is for you. A beautiful fig and floral blend that has a certain earthen quality - it really is not to be missed.

Now all we need is a little sunshine!
