& Other Stories Haul

I have been meaning to visit & Other Stories for the longest time now but due to the nearest store being located in London, it has only became a reality as of last week. As with most London based stores that have yet to make their way up further north I had a list as long as my arm of wants - sadly I didn't find the physical & Other Stories store to be as well stocked as it is online. Unfortunately the Regent Street store didn't have much in the variety of body washes, other than the body mists there was no travel sized products either. I can't complain much as what they did have in stock is not only beautifully displayed but also well priced. In the end I walked away with three products...

& Other Stories Haul

& Other Stories Scrub in Arabesque Wood (£7) - link
If you purchase one product from & Other Stories let it be a body scrub, not only is there at least 12 scents to choose from but the formula is wonderful. A sugar based scrub that is initially a little sticky but when combined with water it gently foams and to some extent fizzes to gently buff the skin into a touchable soft state. A little goes a long way and it really does take care of any dry patches with next to no effort, all the while cleansing the skin. I'd be lying if I didn't say just about all 12 scents were wonderful but the & Other Stories Arabesque Wood fragrance really spoke to me. Well not literally, although that would be cool - the blend of oud, citrus (namely lemon) and ginger is fresh, relaxing and slightly masculine. It is perfect for unwinding in an evening shower before bed as the light aroma both uplifts and comforts - I think this may be the beginning of a new obsession.

& Other Stories Body Mist in Moroccan Tea (£5) - link
The & Other Stories Body Mist's come in just as expansive variety of fragrances as the body scrubs, in fact you can mix and match throughout the whole bath and body range. The body mists also come in two sizes: 50ml and 150ml - I opted for the mini 50ml size as it is ideal for popping in a handbag to freshen up throughout the day. As someone who adores anything mint scented the Moroccan Tea fragrance range was the first section I honed in on - sadly this was the most restrictive in terms of range, no body scrub or body wash. If you enjoy minty yet green/herbal scents this is one to try, the mist itself is refreshing, cooling and light yet manages to pack a punch in terms of both scent intensity and wear time. I am suitable impressed!

& Other Stories Hand Cream in Floral Memento (£4) - link.
On a whim, due to dry hands at the counter I was somewhat persuaded into purchasing a hand cream. Most collections have a weak product and for & Other Stories I feel their hand creams fall a little short. Have you ever tried a cream texture that leaves your skin feeling a little powdery and not in a good way? Well that is exactly how I'd describe the & Other Stories Hand Cream formulations - not the most hydrating nor do they offer any relief what so ever. The only redeeming quality is that they are beautiful scented - you wouldn't expect anything less now would you? I settled on Floral Memento which is a light, almost dusky floral fragrance that has a strong Violet note - it is a pretty and inoffensive scent. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase other items within the & Other Stories Floral Memento range but will skip the hand creams full stop.

Next trip I shall make a mental note to stock up on the & Other Stories Body Scrubs they are seriously incredible!
