Lush Copperhead Solid Shampoo Bar

As many will know I have bleached, blonde hair that is porous so a shampoo bar aimed at bringing out red tones within brown and auburn hair tones. I have been assured that although this product contains red henna it doesn't actually deposit colour on to the hair - I personally find that difficult to fathom and wouldn't risk tinting my hair pink accidentally. My mother on the other hand has recently used henna to tint her hair a deep red based brown and couldn't be a better candidate to give this a whirl.

"Don’t be latte for work, invigorate with a double shot of coffee grounds and roasted cocoa extract. Persian red henna leaves hair feeling deeply conditioned and gloriously glossy. Escape the daily grind with Fair Trade vanilla absolute and vetiver oil for a rich, enticing aroma. Great for darker shades and those with red tones"

Lush Copperhead Solid Shampoo Bar

You would be forgiven for assuming that Lush Copperhead Solid Shampoo Bar would have a coffee or even a chocolate based fragrance due to the ingredient line up. Rather the scent is herbal, deep and slightly masculine and somewhat similar to Lush Dear John fragrance if you are at all familiar with that. The shampoo itself is loaded with cocoa extract to nourish, hydrate and smooth the hair follicle with each wash. Much like myself my Mother has dry, thick hair that is a little unruly and she has stated that since switching to this shampoo her hair has been far less frizz prone yet not flat nor lank. She added that the Lush Copperhead Solid Shampoo Bar lathers up well in the shower, deeply cleanses her hair yet leaves it moisturised after a few uses. As for the addition of red henna, it has not only added visible shine but brought to life the hair's natural highlights. So many at home hair colourants claim to give a multi-dimensional effect to the hair and I have never fully understood that until now. Since my Mother has switched to this shampoo I now comprehend and for the first time in a long time, I have longed for brunette locks.

In a nutshell a colour enhancing, moisturising yet gentle shampoo that is easy to use, economical and a must try for any brunette, auburn or red head out there.
