Weekly Favourites #63

I woke up really late today (1pm...whoops) so please excuse the quality of the photos in today's post. I have had an annoying head cold for a few days which has stopped my sleeping properly but when I do fall asleep there is no waking me up. Oh well, here is a condensed version of what I have been enjoying the last seven or so days...

I own a good few Urban Decay facial sprays and tend to rely on De-Slick but recently I have found myself reaching more and more for Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray. Think of it as a primer in a bottle but along with priming the skin it is really nourishing making it perfect for dried out Winter skin. The good news is that it also sets make-up too so you don't have to faff around with two different sprays to keep your skin hydrated and your make-up in place.  Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray isn't often spoken about but in my opinion it is one of Urban Decay's better products.

Illamasqua's Sculpting Powder Duo was my cheek product of choice, I even forwent blush on several occasions. What I like about the Illamasqua's Sculpting Powder Duo in Lumos & Heliopolis is that not only are both shades perfect for my light/medium skin tone but the super soft, blendable texture makes application full proof. If like myself you prefer a more natural approach to highlighting and contouring this is the product for you.

Weekly Favourites #63

With such a parred down approach to the rest of my face it only made sense really that I slicked on a glossy nude lipstick more often than within the last week. My somewhat dry lips aren't in any fit condition for a matte lipstick so my product of choice has been L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in 501 Nude Ingenue. This hydrating yellow toned nude lipstick is light yet has enough colour to prevent it from washing my out. I rather like that it is a lip balm come lipstick - the perfect choice for the currently miserable weather.

Inspired by the recent rain fall I have been craving blue nail polish, the problem with blue nail polish is that it more often than not looks bizarre on my hands. The struggle is real yo'! If like myself you like the idea of blue polish but struggle to find a suitable shade, may I recommend The Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Polish in Got the Blues. This subtle blue come lilac polish is really flattening on the nails, has a great formula and the shade will more than see you into the Spring.

I have so much love for Melvita L'Argan Bio Body Oil in Cream, this light body butter hydrates my skin in a matter of moments, smells great and sinks into the skin within moments. The combination of oil and cream really makes light work of dried out skin even the roughest of dry patches.

Speaking of dry skin I have once again incorporated Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly, as someone with currently combination skin this gentle yet highly hydrating formula is just perfect. It instantly moisturises my skin without being heavy or overwhelming nor does it cause break outs. I tend to use this both in the morning and night when my skin is feeling dried out and see instant results.
