I know not everyone applies an eye cream let alone in the morning but for me this is not an option. I have no idea what I do in my sleep but it doesn't matter how well rested I am my eyes will forever be puffy as soon as I awake. Basically eye cream is optional in my case, I do however prefer light, almost gel like consistency for day wear and do gravitate towards a moisturising and de-puffing formulation over anti-ageing benefits. My current go to day eye cream is Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Morning Eye Rescue.
"The S.O.S for sensitive eyes : This treatment quenches and soothes the eye area upon application leaving eye contours looking rested, fresh and naturally glowing. Apply morning and evening. Fragrance-free. Oil-free. Ophthalmologist tested. All skin types."
In my opinion Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Morning Eye Rescue is a suit all ages eye product - it is gentle enough for young skins yet boasts enough repairing qualities that even mature skin can gain from using this. It sinks in really quickly leaving behind no traces of excess product (even if like myself you over apply), quickly banishes dry and puffy skin, all the while being the perfect base for make-up. Unlike other eye creams I own the gel like consistency does not encourage any make-up applied on top to flake or bobble off my skin, rather on the contrary it seemingly allows my under eye concealer to glide on and blend with ease. I have noticed since switching to Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Morning Eye Rescue my concealer is less prone to creasing which is never a bad thing. Although Caudalie state to use this twice a day I do prefer to switch to a more nourishing and intensive eye cream for night time to repair my skin should it need it but for day wear this fits the bill nicely. My only gripe is that it does nothing for dark circles. Hey you can't win them all!

It's a shame it doesn't work for dark circles, but I'd still love to try it!

I've used it for a couple of moths and I thought I liked it but when I tried Shiseido Anti-Darc Cirles (review here http://www.gabrielnemro.com/2014/12/shiseido-anti-dark-circles-eye-cream.html) I figured out that the Caudalie one did positively nothing compare to Shiseido.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a shame it doesn’t do both!

I don't really use eye creams but I like the Body Shop's! You should try their 2-in-1 brightening eye gel! x
