New Beauty Products 2014

It has been a while since I composed a post of this type but let me tell you that 2014 is shaping up rather nicely with bright, pastel toned opaque lipsticks, a kawaii inspired mascara, a pink liquid liner and much much more. Obviously some of the products below are just speculation due to them being released in North America but where possible I have linked a reliable source so you can read and see more about each product.

Seemingly 2014 will be the year L'Oreal dominates the UK highstreet with countless new products hitting the shelves such as L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks (source link) which are said to be glossy liquid lipsticks that are uber pigmented and hitting the UK this coming February.

MAC fans as always we are in for countless treats and collections but the one that has me intrigued most is a line of MAC Prep and Prime Tinted Loose Powders (source link). Sure tinted powders aren't anything new but this collection has been created with corrective purposes and is said to include a yellow powder, orange powder and lilac powder too. I'm hoping the yellow powder gives the Ben Nye Banana powder a run for its money.

Of course the new year will bring a few new Maybelline products and nothing has me more excited than the hopeful launch of Maybelline MasterGlaze Glisten Blush Sticks and MasterHi-Light Highlighters (source link). From what I have gathered thus far the Maybelline MasterGlaze Glisten Blush Sticks look somewhat similar to NARS Multiples in that they are stick form versions of cream blushes that can double up as lip colours. I'm not fully sure what the Maybelline MasterHi-Light Highlighters are labelled as highlighters as they appear to be more blushes and bronzers than highlighting powders. I'm sure there will be a gem or two amongst said line but at the moment I'm not totally sold.

Hands up who doesn't love a good nude lipstick or two? Well for 2014 Maybelline are said to be launching Maybelline The Buffs Lipsticks (source link) an entire line of nude lipsticks. From what I have seen thus far they all look to be creamy and remind me of certain MAC and Laura Mercier shades. I feel that this is one collection we will hear a lot about and I hope they offer shades for all complexions. Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser has now hit various drugstores in North America so I imagine that along with the Baby Lips Dr Rescue line we should be able to get our mitts on such products in the coming year.

L'Oreal Infalliable Eyeshadows are easily one of the best eyeshadow formulations available full stop and the fact there may be a pencil liner addition in the works excited me greatly excited. The L'Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner Collection (source link) have launched state side and are said to be silky, easy to apply and wear liners that are shaping up to be great dupes of the Urban Decay 24/7 liners. I hope they make it to the UK! It should also be noted that they launched with six new and permanent L'Oreal Infalliable eyeshadows.

As you may know Revlon are launching the Revlon ColorBurst Crayon Matte Balms in 2014 and of course there is several chunky lip crayons on the market (in my eyes Clinique were the originals and the best) but it may excite you to learn that in 2014 NYC are offering there own version (source link). Although a highstreet brand the majority of the NYC Cosmetic line is great quality and always low priced which is never a bad thing. I imagine their version will be more moisturising and tinted balm like than the matte version Revlon are offering but it is always nice to have different options.

NYX isn't a brand I tend to purchase all that often but I do rate their lip products especially their lip creams, well in 2014 they are taking a slightly funkier approach to lip colours and are set to launch a matte line of pretty pastel lipsticks. The NYX Macaroon lipsticks (source link) really aren't my thing as I'm not that brave to sport a blue pout but I'd be lying if I said they aren't attention grabbing and great for the more creative types.

I'm sure most will have seen the buzz surrounding the new L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara which is set to launch in January. I have seen various images of this mascara on Instagram and I have to say it really looks promising. It seemingly lengthens and adds volume without clumping and will be reasonably priced. It is one that I will be looking out for in the coming weeks.

Okay my last addition will less than likely hit the UK but I couldn't help but include it none the less. Duck Dynasty - yep that bearded fun loving family that I can't help but watch weekly have launched a beauty line stateside (source link). I'm not sure why as without being insulting there is no-one on the show that I would take beauty advice from and truthfully it does seem a little money grabbing but I guess it is fun none the less. On a side note the nail polishes do look to be rather stellar.
