Burts Bees Lip Balms

I adore the autumn and winter months but my skin and lips don't share my joy. As someone with oily skin my skin doesn't really suffer all that much but my lips do dry out and on an almost daily basis at that - I'm guessing the fact I tend to chew and bite my lips only aids the damage? I won't beat around the bush and pretend that I have always loved Burts Bees as the truth is I have only recently discovered their products and in the past tended to rely on Carmex and Lanolips to help soothe and repair my chapped lips. However I am on a mission to replace as many products as possible within my beauty stash to natural formulations and Burts Bees tick that box nicely.

I don't think one lip balm suits all, I know most won't agree but I deem lip balms to be very much like skin care and tend to have various formulations on the go at any one time depending on my needs. At the moment my lips are in a semi decent state and only require moisture every now and then so I have been slicking on the almost edible and new Burts Bees Revitalizing Lip Balm with Blueberry and Dark Chocolate - it reminds me of a fruity chocolate cake and it is all I can do not to lick it off. This particular balm has been blended with natural butters and oils to help renew and nourish the lips making it the perfect every day balm.

Of course the winter can be harsh and dry the lips out and for that I recommend the Burts Bees Ultra Conditioning Balm which comes in two formulations - a solid wind up style balm and a liquid almost gloss type offering. Although this balm doesn't claim to repair the lips rather it has been clinically proven to offer 4 hours moisture infused with rich Kokum, Shea, and Cocoa Butters with one quick application. Not to shabby huh? Like I said it doesn't aim to heal the lips but I have found that it does help to soothe the lips which is never a bad thing. This is the perfect balm for those who are pushed for time that can't apply a balm all that often and the one I have been using when my lips become chapped.

As you can see from my images there is 10 (11 if you count the tinted offering) various formulations to choose from including a refreshing grapefruit offering, nourishing mango butter (smells amazing) and many, many more. One I feel that doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves has to be the 100% natural Burts Bees Beeswax Lip it can be used as a typical lip balm but also on dry skin anywhere on the body too making it a great handbag essential. This balm features coconut and sunflower oils, is rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, to nourish, condition and soften lips and the Beeswax helps to seals in hydration.
