WHAT!!!
No way is Britney Spears fragrance line ten years old it simply can not be?
This news makes me feel old - I was in my mid teens when this launched and now I'm in my mid twenties...gulp! Ten years of candy scented clothes and bejewelled bottles my oh my does time fly.
As you may or may not know the first Britney Spears scent to launch was Curious way back in 2003. It sold well but was never a firm or cult favourite at least not to the extent the follow up fragrance was which of course was Britney Spears Fantasy which landed in 2005. As Fantasy is the best selling it only makes good business sense that this was the choice to mark the tenth anniversary...it is all about the dinero after all.
This time around despite several off springs of the original Fantasy fragrance the tenth anniversary offering is the same beloved cupcake-esque scent that we know in love but in a special bottle. Black with gold rhinestones and one of three messages from Britney Spears which include "10 hugs and 10 kisses", "To my sweet scented fans for the decade of love" and "You are my inspiration" as well as 100 bottles that Britney personally signed.
News has it that this is now available in some perfume retailers and will follow up online in the coming weeks.
I have got a birthday with a 0 in it and it isn't 20 on Tuesday and I *still* love Britney Spears "Curious" and have a bottle of it on my dressing table right now! I can't believe it is 10 years old. I Did like "Fantasy" but "Curious" was always my favourite (and still is for an everyday perfume)!

how beautiful. i've always loved her packaging but sadly, i couldn't wear this.. my sweet boyfriend bought me a bottle for christmas and i loved the smell until i wore it. when i wear it, i get an extreme headache.
ReplyDeleteI feel really old that this fragrance is 10 years old! :| But it's such a lovely fragrance and one that I know my Mom buys a new 100ml bottle of every 6 months because it's just her favourite and I know I steal some whenever I fancy wearing it.
