That's right friends over in the good ol' US of A the cheap and cheerful brand that is E.L.F have recently rolled out a monthly subscription plan much like Glossybox et al but with a difference. Unlike other beauty subscription plans the E.L.F plan is that they only ship out new goodies every 8 weeks rather than on a monthly basis - so once every two months. Let me tell you a little about E.L.F's Beauty Bundle concept...
At $19.99 (£12.89) it is not much more expensive than the leading companies but I have saw a few grumbles about the high shipping rates. Being British I can't really comment as I don't know what passes for cheap or reasonable for that matter p&p overseas but I agree if the shipping works out incredibly expensive it will put me off from the get go.
However having a look at the sample boxes that have been received and reviewed so far they are pretty well stuffed with palettes, brushes and a whole variety of other make-up products. Yes the quality of E.L.F can be a little hit and miss and not at all a brand I turn to all that often but for those who love the brand and are on the look out for a subscription plan that purely provides make-up I can see it being a hit!
I'm willing to bet it is only a matter of time until it hits the UK!
You can see examples of the boxes and read more on the subscription service via the E.L.F website - link
Yay or nay?
Definitely yay! I imagine the shipping charges in the US are so high because its such a big country, but here in the UK it might be cheaper! But it would definitely be something I'd be interested in xx

I'm not a huge ELF fan as I agree they can be very hit and miss, but I definitely like the idea of these and a make-up only box sounds amazing to me! xx
ReplyDeleteI never tried any ELF products before but I actually think is a good idea if you are really fond of a brand!

It's a good idea if you like ELF, but the best thing about beauty boxes is the variety of brands! x
ReplyDeleteI actually really like ELF brushes so am looking into branching out into the brand!

I'm not too into Elf anymore but i know when i just started getting into make up i would have loved this. They have a ton of products and it's the perfect way to play around with make up and get a feel of the brand.

I've never actually used any E.L.F products myself but I've heard good and bad reviews on them. I think if this came to the UK I'd be trying out a fair few products before deciding whether to subscribe to this.

I have to say, nay. I was tempted and the first box I saw detailed on-line had me excited, then I went to the site and they were running a 50% off all Studio Products sale, and the shipping is the same, so, for $20 you get $40 worth of product, and during a sale which they run often (in fact they are running it again this weekend and 3 times since I first thought of the box) you can get the same deal and select the products you'd like to try.

ReplyDeleteI agree with it being hit and miss - I think this is a great way to find out what the e.l.f hit products are and the misses though, and surely it saves a little money! Xx
ReplyDeleteI love Elf, but I think this could do either way because some of their products are amazing but the others not so much! X

ReplyDeleteI've only used a couple of e.l.f products - the primer and liquid eyeliner. After reviewing the monthly products, I agree with a previous comment, that the perk of beauty boxes is the variety of brands. So I'll have to pass as well.

I really want to try ELF as I have heard so many great things and I have to admit a box like this does sound good but for that month I would prefer to stick to GlossyBox and try new brands and products out instead of just one
