Very, very late to jump on the gel manicure bandwagon is Essie and arriving in October to salon''s nationwide is a collection of 36 gel formulated Essie polishes which will last for up to 14 days after being set by an L.E.D light. Basically in a matter of weeks you can have a shellac like manicure but with an Essie product.
The formulation has been created to be kind to the health of the nails while looking pretty -the polish is said to be infused with keratin technology and vitamins B5 and E to condition and care for the nails. Essie also claim that their formula is 25% more powerful than other gel nail formulations (harder wearing I presume).
The kicker is that instead of launching 36 of their best loved and worn shades they have decide to go for somewhat reasonable matches such as a close dupe for Ballet Slippers which has been dubbed Dance Class and of course a similar shade to Mint Candy Apple which will be named Fashion Crowd.
I can imagine this news will please Essie fans to no end.
Quite late of Essie but I look forward to trying these nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteI'm running a bioderma giveaway on my blog, I'd love for you to enter!
Thanks, lipglossandlace xo
It's a shame they could not stick with their already much-loved hues, it would've been so much easier for us to purchase then!!
ReplyDeleteThe kind-to-nail formula sounds so appealing though♥
This is excellent news and I can't wait to try them on... I hope the price point is reasonable :O). Xx

Oh I totally thought this was going to be one for the stores. More on the lines of Vinylux. A little gutted, I'm not interested in the shellac polishes, more gel-like finishes...
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to buy a few of these! Hopefully won't be too pricey!

Sounds great! But I prefer regular nail polish since I get bored of the same colours after a few days..

Becky - try Vinylux - lasts a week and sets in daylight - comes off with regular nail polish remover ! Brilliant xx
DeleteThis sounds great, but I think I'll stick to regular polish as I have to take my nail polish off at weekends for work!

These sound great, especially if they are healthy for your nails. Mine usually feel slightly weak after polish!

I've never tried Shellac but these sound great. I was always under the impression that the gel nails were only available in a limited range of colours, but it seems that isn't so :) xx
ReplyDeleteIf the products stand up to what they say on the tin then I don't mind how late they are to the trend - I've bought so many that don't work! No doubt Essie will bring something good to the table.
