Summer may be drawing to a close but if you are not looking forward to the darker, cooler weather you can prolong the summer vibe with Yankee's Cool Pop Collection - five fruity scented candles that remind me of various cooling smoothies. Yum!
I actually bought my stash of the Yankee Cool Pop Collection while on holiday in Florida - if you are going to Orlando any time soon there is a Yankee Outlet in the Premium Outlets that sells 4 of the large Yankee Tumblers for $44 (£28). With a deal that great I of course snagged a good few, sadly they only had 4 out of the 5 Cool Pop scents and I went home without the Pineapple and Coconut variety but all is not a loss as the others are simply divine.
Banana Blueberry may not be to everyone's taste as it certainly is more banana based than it is blueberry but it is rather pleasant and creamy. This may sound odd but it somewhat reminds me of a banana flavoured medicine I used to get as a child on and off. Ah the memories! If Banana is not for you then Mango Nectarine may be more your thing - a bright sweet and yet again creamy scent that has the most ice lolly scent in the bunch if you ask me. My personal favourite has to be Melon and Lime (Melon Margarita in the US) which has a sweet sugary melon fragrance that is somewhat reminiscent of watermelon but much more candy based and frankly yummy! Last but not least I purchased Triple Berry which is said to be a blend of cherry, strawberry and raspberry...on ice. Sometimes this smells more cherry (like a slush puppy) than anything else then others it reminds me of a Strawberry Daiquiri, either way it is a rather girlie and uplifting fragrance that isn't as summery as the others. Sometimes I like to burn a few of the Cool Pop fragrances at the same time to turn my home into a fruity scented cocktail...with carpets!
Don't judge me but I currently eyeing up the newly launched Yankee Autumn collection...salted caramel anyone? Yum.
