Last year YSL launched a now staple product in many of our make-up bags - YSL Glossy Stains which are utterly fantastic and as many will know I am no loyal fan of lip glosses.
However YSL Glossy stains don't come cheap at £22.50 a pop and since their initial release the high street has been calling out for something a little more budget friendly. You asked and L'Oreal answered in the form of L’Oreal GlamShine Stain Splashes.

Can I be honest and say that the packaging of the L’Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash's utterly confused me for a good five minutes being the utter dumbo that I am I spent an age pulling, tugging and twisting the top part of the product to no avail. After a kind tap on the shoulder by a sales assistant  a few blushes and a stuttered thank you I finally came to realise that the applicator is in fact located in the base. Hey I never claimed to be sharpest tool in the box! Anyway within the base is an almost identical petal shaped doe foot applicator which I'm not always a fan of but for this kind of product they work exceptionally well.

To the best of my knowledge (please do feel free to correct me in the comment section) there is eight shades in total of L’Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash within the UK? Truthfully the colour range is a little hit and miss and unlike some of the other L'Oreal lip products you'll spend longer finding a shade you like rather than narrowing it down to a favourite because your budget won't allow to purchase one of each.
In the end I went with Lolita which is a light pink based mauve shade that is very similar to MAC's Angel only as it is a gloss it is far sheerer in finish.
Lolita is fairly cool in tone with a slight blue undertone but other than it helping to give the illusion of whiter teeth. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the leaning of any of these gloss shades as they are sheer and work with your natural lip colour rather than mask it.

In my opinion other than the fact that the L’Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash's lack the pigmentation levels that their counterparts YSL Glossy Stains can offer but othet than that they are pretty much identical in formula making them the perfect dupe product.
If you want a decent level of colour pay off you do have to apply the L’Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash in layers - I find three coats works quite well for me but it will all boil down to preference.

Both stains offer a thick and moisturising, but comfortable to wear glossy sheen to the lips.
I do want to mention that I do find both formula's to be slightly sticky however I find that to be the case with 99.9% of all lip gloss products and consider it to be part and parcel of a lip gloss product.
However what separates the L’Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash's from other glosses is the lasting power you can eat, drink and dare I say it even kiss (winky face) and it stays put with the glossy finish intact for over two hours. Both are a revolution for the lip gloss world and once you try this sort of formula it is very difficult to go back to bog standard lip glosses.
