Personally I'm not one for lip stain products but YSL's Glossy Lip Stains have breezed into my life
and changed my opinion forever, normally I'm one to ignore the hype surrounding products
but in this case I say give in and let your life be transformed by the marvels that are YSL's Glossy Stains!

The YSL Glossy stains come in a broad range of shades - 19 to be exact and although they are not packaged quite in the same style of  a typical YSL lip product all things considered for a lip stain the packaging is above average and the applicator is well shaped to allow easy application.

Yes the shade selection is vast but I simply had to go for a fail safe coral shade,
that way I know I will wear it frequently and a little justification of a £22 lip product goes a long way.
In the end I walked away from my local YSL counter with shade 12 - Corail Fauve (Tawny Coral) which is a light pink yellow that veers on coral, a great everyday shade for myself.
The Glossy Stains layer up wonderfully, in fact that is how I recommend to wear them,
one coat provides a light very natural wash of colour - a my lips but better effect
but the second coat transforms the shade into a full blown coral pink glossy lip colour.

In the past I have found lip stains to be rather drying and as mentioned not something I did not enjoy
in the slightest but YSL's Glossy Stains are thick, moisturising, comfortable to wear
but slightly sticky, however they are not any stickier than a typical lip gloss and after half an hour
of wear the tackiness subsides leaving behind the glossy full on pigmented finish.
In terms of wear the gloss effect stays put for close to 2 hours and the stain can wear for 8 hours with
ease, in which it fades evenly and does not dry out the lips.
