Anyone out there who like myself struggles with oily skin and eye lids will know just how difficult it can be finding eyeshadow formulas that will last the pace of the day and do not crease.
In the summer my skin can be particularly bad especially when abroad in more humid environments that even the best primer was of little use. This year I am a little more prepared for the warmer weather and have a great long lasting eyeshadow formula up my sleeve...say hello to Sisley Long Lasting Eyeshadows.

Packaging wise they really do look pretty basic which is not something Sisley is known for, normally Sisley products are encased in elaborate and/or funky designed compacts but not this time...oh well!
So yes a plain black matte case with a small mirror and foam applicator, far from luxurious but it more than does the job however when paying a premium price I do expect a little more.

I am unsure to how many shades there are in the Sisley Phyto Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow line but the House of Fraser stock 15 shades in total (next on my hit list is Sorbet, Stardust and Dune). I picked this up around the time I was going through a MAC Cranberry phases so I of course plumped for Burgundy.
Despite being listed as Burgundy I find this to be more of a deep purple when applied with a slight red undertone and a hint of golden shimmer.
If you have green eyes this shade should be on your radar as it really allows them to pop and looks wonderful when blended into a smoky eye, I like to combine it with black - black eyeshadow, black eyeliner and black mascara.

Much like other Sisley powder products I have tried this has a silky soft texture that feels soft to the touch yet is firm enough so that it does not produce a mountain of product fall out.
Sisley Phyto Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow in Burgundy is well pigmented in fact I would go as far as saying it is extremely pigmented and that less is more is the best approach to take with this formula.
That being said they blend like a dream and live up to the long lasting claim!
I tested this formula with and without a primer and found both experiences to be really positive -
8 hours without a primer and over 10 hours with a primer.
If you struggle with oily lids then this is a formula well worth trying out!
