Never in a million years did I imagine that I would be writing about a tinted moisturiser
without following up with a statement that said something along the lines of "as good as it is, it did nothing for my skin type" but I feel I have struck gold with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser Crème Compact
and it could be the product that changes the way I look at bases forever.

As you would expect from a brand like Laura Mercier the compact is not only functional with
a well sized and good quality mirror and a sponge applicator stashed inside but it also looks sleek
and high brow in all it's light graphite glory.
Yes the compact is plastic but it is very durable and will withstand general wear and tear in a handbag,
all the while being light and as mentioned rather pretty.
I have to quickly admit that I do not like sponge applicators I feel they soak up and waste an awful lot
of product and pull/tug on the skin, the formula of this product lends itself well to both brushes
and fingertips so the world of application really is your oyster!

"Laura Mercier's best-selling Tinted Moisturizer is now available in a convenient compact. Laura's latest innovation features a lightweight crème formula that gives skin a dewy, natural-looking flawless finish ideal for all skin types.
With SPF 20 and a hint of colour, this portable compact is perfect for travel
and touch ups on the go."

With 11 shades available I don't think I am wrong in stating that this has to be one of the most extensive
tinted moisturiser shade ranges out there?
Shade Nude is a little too light for my skin tone but my word the formula has knocked me for six,
at first I though this must be a mistake this surely has to be a creme foundation but once you apply
the light, silky formula to the skin it is apparent it is not a typical base product.
What shocked me the most is how well it covers without being heavy or giving the skin full coverage,
yet it will easily cover blemishes and any sign of redness as demonstrated above with my mole as reference.
Yes the formula is hydrating as expected from any moisturiser but it will not slip and slide on oily
skin and is a joy to wear, lightweight with a dewy but natural finish, doesn't settle into fine lines or pores
and wears comfortable for close to 7 hours before I had to touch up a little.
If like myself you don't have the best skin but would like a light base that covers and gives the best natural
finish possible, then scurry along to your nearest Laura Mercier counter and pick up this baby I promise
you will not be disappointed!

I am now a proud convert to tinted moisturiser who would have ever predicted this.
Not me that is for sure!
