I held off doing a What's Inside My Glossybox this month as it really didn't need to be dragged out
over two posts as I have tried or own most products inside my box...no biggie these things happen
but I do feel some may be more disappointed with my box than the one with the full size L'Oreal
hair oil that I have seen on a few blogs, I do understand that but I guess it is the luck of the draw
but perhaps in future Glossybox could ensure that if full size products are going to be included
that everyone receives something full size so no-one feels let down?
Anyway on to what is inside my box and a few mini reviews...
Lady Gaga Fame EDP Sample
I really do not get the fuss over this being a "black liquid" and how it is so innovative,
it is not Theirry Mugler has been producing a deep purple almost black perfume for years now (Alien)
and nothing is ever said about that - I feel better getting that off my chest haha!
Anyway rant aside I actually own a full size bottle of Fame and do rather enjoy it,
it's rather Floral and reminds me a little of Cacharel Amor Amor,
however it is not long lasting on the skin at all.
Rodial Glamoxy Snake Serum and 5 Minute Facial - Sachets
I have tried both products in the past and do highly enjoy pretty much every Rodial product,
the serum is great for those concerned with ageing and it shows almost immediate results
and the 5 Minute Facial is a clay mask that cleanses deep down and is speedy to use!
Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream
Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream how I love thee.
This is the best eye cream I have ever encountered by far, it soothes, it moisturises
it heals and it protects against future ageing.
I promise if you buy this product your life will be so much better haha,
no really it is such a fabulous eye cream and I can not be without it.
Vichy Idealia Day Care Cream
Again I have the full size version of this and yes it does moisturise and adds a light luminous effect
to the skin but I find it to be a little too heavy and thick for my oily skin
and do feel it would be better suited to those who have dry skin.
Maghrabian Hair Oil
What can I say about this product other than it is an Argan based hair oil.
I'm not the biggest fan of hair oils but it does seem nice enough
and when I applied it to wet hair and blow dried my hair I was left with a lovely glossy
sheen but it is a little pricey (£24/100ml) considering there is just as good high street alternatives.
All in all I did find this box a little bit of a miss but hey like I said you can't win them all
and there is always next month.
What are your thoughts?
Glossybox* is a monthly subscription service which you can find out more here - link
I got the exact same box as you and I was actually glad to get this one rather than the one with the Loreal products. These items were things I would have been less likely to get my hands on so I look forward tot trying them!

That's a really great way to look at it :) to be honest this month I think all the boxes were a little miss and there wasn't one I thought oh I really want that version...hey ho eh :)
DeleteI was totally disappointed with this box - I completely agree that if Glossybox are going to give a 'stand out' full-size product, that every subscriber should get it. I saw spoilers of this box and wasn't overly excited, but thought that if I got the L'Oreal Mythic Oil that would redeem it for me. Alas, I did not get the Mythic Oil and I remain disappointed! x
ReplyDeleteI'm glad others feel the same, I just feel that when one box has a full size product and others don't it leaves most feeling a little let down.
DeleteAgreed. I got exactly the same box and although I'm more excited after reading your reviews I'm still a bit disappointed over all.
DeleteI got the exact same box too. I do have really dry skin so the vichy day cream is perfect for me! I tried the rodial face mask which I loved, but I feel it's a bit pricy for me though... xxx

Vichy is such a great brand :) I have a good few pieces by them and love them all :) yes the Rodial masks do make the knees wobble a little haha!
DeleteI got the same products.
ReplyDeleteVery disappointed with this months box if I'm honest.
It might have had some pretty packaging, but the products just completely spoilt it for me.
I don't get the hype around the "black liquid" perfume either...

I think that is the general feeling this month :( hopefully next months will be better...yes the box is beautiful isn't it :)
DeleteYeah me neither it's not new and that annoys me haha...damn Gaga ;)
I want to try one of these glossy boxes. Seem a good selection of products
ReplyDeletehttp://highstreetheaven01.blogspot.co.uk/
It is :) just some months are better than others.
Deletei haven't tried any beauty box yet do any of them ship to Ireland?
ReplyDeleteI think Glossybox does, I'd double check their website though :)
DeleteI completely agree that they should include full sized products in all boxes. I was really disappointed to not receive the mythic oil. At least you got the other hair oil - I love hair oil! I think I got the worst combination haha, ah well! There's a post on my blog if you wanna check it out :) xx

Haha at least you are honest ;) I will read your review now :)
DeleteLooks like an interesting box, that eyecream looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteSophierosehearts x
I LOVE that eyecream sooooo much :)
DeleteI got the same box as you which I just posted about.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your review and sharing your experience, am even more looking forward to see how I get on with the skincare products! x

I hope you get on with them :)
DeleteI go the exact same box! I think the box we have all seen is for the people who given them free, bit of a con if you give them to people to talk about then the people who actually pay don't get the same! I like my box but why advertise it as being so much more when it's not?! I have a blog post on mine too xx
ReplyDeleteI don't know about that as mine is a sample but perhaps the one we seen was for the ambassadors who were at the event?
DeleteThanks for your honest comment though :)
I got the same one! Just writing the post now, hehe xoxo

Hey, I love your blog, really well done! I got the same products as you and know what you mean about the variances but I think it adds to the excitment element of the business concept, which is what really engages me with the brand and keeps me paying each month. I did my first ever video blog for the opening of my Glossybox and would love to know what you think. Its www.marketingonafriday.wordpress.com Thanks xx
ReplyDeleteIt's so interesting to see the difference in the GlossyBox's from other countries. I'm from Canada, and ours looks more dark and fall-ish.
ReplyDeleteI received my first ever beauty box today and wrote pretty much my first blog post about it.
I would love it if you checked it out :) www.styletravelandbeauty.blogspot.com
Can't wait to come back to your site and see what's in your next box!
xo
I'm on the search for an eye cream. Im in my early 20's with normal skin type and want to get started on preventing wrinkles... would you recommend "Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream" ... or would it be better to use something else??
ReplyDeleteThe price is quite appealing though!
