I have been obsessed with obtaining a lit within glow since I was around 15
and watching a TV show on which Graeme Norton described Kylie Minogue as have an internal light bulb
to give her a dazzling glow, which Kylie herself put down to a great make-up artist and an even better highlighting product.
In my quest for my perfect highlighter I have tried pretty much everything out there but do tend to favour
Benefit's Highbeam so imagine my giddy excitement when Benefit launched Sunbeam!

"This golden bronze highlighter gives you a natural, sun kissed radiance. Dot & blend over makeup on to cheek & brow bones for a bronzed glow that complements all skintones. It’s liquid sunshine in a bottle!"

Much like the other liquid products in the Benefit product line up this comes neatly presented in a small
screw top bottle with a build in brush which happens to be the lid...it's pretty akin in style to a nail polish
all be it an oversized version!
Normally I bemoan free applicators but the brush with Benefit's liquid products is perfect for dotting on
the product before blending out and truthfully the bronze bottle is snazzy, very summer chic!

Unlike most highlighting products this is not a pastel shade but a warm light golden bronze
that has a neutral yellow undertone which should suit the majority of skin tones.
Truthfully I don't think any skin tone will have problems with the shade, obviously the deeper
the tone of your skin the more Sunbeam will be a highlighter but as it is a soft bronze even the lightest
skin tones can wear it as a shimmer based liquid bronzer to warm the skin!

Benefit's liquid highlighters can be used in a whole array of ways and Sunbeam is no different,
you can use it to target highlight particular areas such as the cheekbones, brown bone and cupids bow
but to give the illusion of longer and slimmer legs blend a small strip of product down the centre of the shin bones. You can also blend a small amount in with a liquid lip colour or my personal favourite method
of mixing in a few dots with your foundation for all over radiance and a dewy effect to any foundation!
To apply I find the best method to be to apply a few dots of Sunbeam using the product brush to the target
area and using finger tips quickly blend out. I suggest using the less is more approach as a little of all the Benefit highlight products to be really concentrated and you can always go back and add more.
Even on oily skin such as mine Sunbeam lasts all day, around 10 hours with ease
and that is with or without a primer so they really are worth the investment if you enjoy highlighting products.

Time Trial - I wore this daily for a week to see how it would wear.
