Okay so the summer has been pretty dismal with only the odd sun shower here and there
but regardless there has been some humid spells that can leave you hot and sticky...yuck!
Today I have four products that will help to cool and refresh the entire body
even if the closest you will get to a tropical island is a fizzy can of Lilt!
Liz Earle Aftersun Gel 200ml/£13.50 - link
"Our light, rehydrating gel cools, calms and nourishes sun-exposed skin by replacing lost moisture. Premium high-altitude lavender is soothing and cucumber refreshing, while antioxidant natural source vitamin E helps counteract the damaging effects of the sun’s rays.
Massage into the skin as often as needed after exposure to the sun.
Containing cooling organic aloe vera and refreshing cucumber, plus natural source vitamin E to help counteract the damaging effects of the sun’s rays."
Geographically speaking I have very little use for this in the traditional sense but I have taken
a full sized bottle abroad with me in the past and can safely say that one 200ml bottle is more than
enough for a couple on a fortnight away in the sun even if one of said couple is a little over zealous with the
after sun. Back home I like to use it on my legs after a long day on my feet and after shaving my legs too
as it soothes, cools and restores any lost moisture all the while having a fresh mint scent that reminds me of
candy canes! Due to the aloe vera present in this product it also soothes any traditional burns as I very well found out for myself after clipping my ear with the scorching hot devil's prong that is hair straighteners!
Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion 150ml/£10.25 - link
"Wake up and revitalise eyes with cotton wool pads soaked in this gentle,
A soothing herbal lotion before that can be used Cleanse & Polish.
Non-oily, it is ideal for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
Apply to a cotton wool pad to clean and wake up your eyes first thing.
Naturally active ingredients include the grassland herb – eyebright, witch hazel, organic aloe vera and cornflower to help tone, cool and refresh tired, puffy or sore eyes."
I truly do feel everyone should have a bottle of this to hand especially those who suffer from itchy
or irritated eyes (hello hayfever) as it instantly takes the sting out of painful/red/itchy eyes,
soothes, gently cleanses and due to the herbal scent it also relaxes.
Unlike some eye soothing products there is no need to keep this in the fridge as it is cooling regardless of
where you choose to store it. As the directions mention this is best uses with large fluffy cotton pads
and if you are feeling pretty indulgent I do recommend using with a facial mask...bliss!
Liz Earl Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritizer 200ml/£13.50 - link
"This heavenly floral-scented, non-drying toner refreshes, soothes and brightens your skin. Gentle and alcohol-free, it also adds a fine layer of moisture.
Pour onto a cotton wool pad and sweep over face and neck after using Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Alternatively spritz over face and body to revitalise at any time.
Naturally active ingredients include organic aloe vera to revitalise and soften and calendula, chamomile, cucumber and natural source vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin."
I constantly bang on about Liz Earle's Skin Tonic and have said in the past that I like to decant some into
spritzer bottles for on the go blasts of freshness but Liz Earle do offer the ready made option too!
If you invest in any toning product let it be this!
It has a light soft floral scent that calms, soothes and refreshes when used as a facial mist
yet when utilized as a toning product it ensures you have removed every scrap of make-up, dirt and grime
without being abrasive to the skin. If you suffer from a mid day slump or work in a stuffy environment such as an office this is a great skin pick me up and will help to revitalise the skin without removing your make-up
when lightly sprayed on!
My complete must have from Liz Earle, if you invest in any toning product let it be this!
Liz Earle Foot Spritzer 75ml/£7.75 - link
"Spritz your feet, legs and ankles with a cooling and invigorating burst of nine essential oils. This fast drying spray fights odour-causing bacteria to help keep feet fresh. It’s the perfect wake-up for weary feet, leaving them revived and revitalised.
Spray whenever you need cooling, instant relief. Follow with Liz Earle Foot Repair Moisturiser.
Naturally active ingredients include cooling menthol and hydrating aloe vera. Peppermint and rosemary essential oils leave feet smelling sweet."
Skyscraper heels a complete godsend for us shorter ladies or those who love all out glamour
but my oh my can they be troublesome for the feet and calves especially after a long day!
If you suffer from tired, achy feet or legs then a quick blast of Liz Earle Foot Spray will relax
and soothe tired muscles also the natural oils in the spray act as a natural deodoriser helping
turn stinky feet into happy feet! If you are a gym bunny this is great for keeping in your gym bag
for a lovely but speedy treatment after a gruelling work out!
Do you have a favourite Liz Earle product?
