With fans such as Cheryl Cole and Millie Mackintosh (I'd be lying if I said that I didn't have to Google her, sorry lovely readers I don't rate reality TV shows) I was more than eager to try a My Face Cosmetics Foundation, the foundations are split into three colour families Fair, Medium and Medium-Dark.
Not only are the foundations matched to skin tones but you can also find specifically matched shades for your skin tone in blush, lip gloss, pressed powder and lipstick form which takes out some of the guess work.

The foundation packaging is nothing special but it looks fairly slick and modern, travels well in a bag
- no spills or leaks due to it being sturdy yet soft plastic that is easy to dispense without the use of a pump or excess force which I'm sure we can all appreciate.

"For medium skin that tends to have medium to deep olive tones. MEDIUM 03 creates a rich, "caramel-y" glow. It camouflages any uneven skin tones and delivers that just-back-from-holiday glow. If your skin tone is like Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba or Eva Longoria, choose MEDIUM 03."

From the Medium range the current best match for me is Medium 3 which is a medium yellow based tan shade and will best suit complexions that are around an NC37 in Mac shades maybe a little darker.
Each shade in all of the colour options come with examples of who such shade would suit which is helpful
but truthfully some are a little off as I feel J-Lo is marginally lighter and more Olive than the other ladies.

The texture of My Face Cosmetics Foundations are pretty thin but don't be fooled into thinking that the coverage will follow suit as surprisingly it is medium to full coverage and a little really does go a long way.

Again I have used my mole as a coverage reference point.

It covers any minor skin faults such as redness or uneven skin tone with ease but can be built up to offer higher coverage where needed, with this foundation I skipped concealer as I felt it did a good enough job on it's own. Although it covers well it feels light on the skin and is very comfortable to wear especially in humid conditions, I have two tiny little dry patches on my chin and can safely say it did not settle on either nor did the formula highlight my enlarged pores which leads me to believe that it will also deal with fine lines nicely.
My Face Cosmetics Foundation settled to a light natural dewy finish and wore for around 9 hours on my oily skin but I do want to stress that is with primer and a light dusting of pressed powder.

Speaking of pressed powder I have also tested the pressed powder from the My Face range and can truthfully say it blows most high street counterparts out of the water.

It is the softest, finely milled face product I have ever encountered from this sort of price range, My Face Cosmetics describe it as "Fairy Dust" due to it's softer than soft texture and the soft light diffusing pearl extract. I know I have rambled on about how soft this powder is but rest assure that it holds it shape, does not crumble to pieces if you are slightly heavy handed nor does it produce mountains of product fall out.

My Face Cosmetics Mymatch Powder again comes in three shades to correspond with the colour families
and once more I tested the medium shade which truthfully I did find a little light for my complexion but it set my foundation wonderfully, brightened my skin subtly without any traces of glitter or shimmer and kept oil at bay which is all I require from a product of this kind!
I can also happily report that it did not settle into my pores nor did it highlight any dry patches.

My Mix Foundation costs £15.99/35ml and the Mymatch powder costs £14.99/8g you can purchase both from selected Boots stores or via My Face Cosmetics web store - link
