Think of this as glitter eyeshadow for the refined, sparkle-infused cosmetics for the new age and the modern day wearer.
You are never too old for glitter, sure in some capacity it can veer a tad garish and might not be exactly suited to a 9am boardroom meeting but otherwise I say more is more. If glitter puts a little pep in your step and yet you don't want to blind Fiona from accounts, then why not try the new and slightly subdued Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Sticks; nine, new and limited edition cream eyeshadows that have a multitude of uses.
I always refer to Bobbi Brown Cosmetics as the thinking persons beauty brand as each product is created with ease of use in mind; regardless if you are a professional, new to make-up or simply in a rush, it is all but fool-proof and if ever you feared glitter through it being messy, the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Sticks will prove you wrong. The convenient cream and crayon stylos allow you to simply slick on, sparkle and go - it couldn't be easier. There is also no need for extra tools such as brushes, unless of course you want exact precision, or chose to use this as an eyeliner.
If ever you have tried or experienced the original Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadows you will somewhat know what to expect from the new Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Sticks: soft, easy to blend, creamy, cooling, long-wearing (I do find that after around 8 hours they do somewhat crease) and comfortable to wear, but this time around there is the element of glitter (the glitter seems to be of a silver tone throughout the entire range). I am glad to say that the glitter particles are in no way irritating, nor do they drag or pull on the skin, and as this is a cream product there is no dreaded glitter fall out. To extend wear I do recommend using a primer and/or similar powder eyeshadow to lock the formula in place but if you have dry/normal skin, I'd imagine that this is a step you can easily skip.
Left to right: Moonstone, Prosecco and Molten Bronze.
With no less than nine shades to chose from (all of which are new and limited edition) there will be something for everyone, and depending on the shade/s you do decide to pick up you can utilise the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Sticks as a super intense highlighter. I was very kindly gifted three shades and truthfully I couldn't have picked better for myself: to bring out the blue in my eyes and add extra pizzazz to a smoky eye, there is the beautiful mid-toned pewter tone that is Moonstone. For everyday wear there is the light, golden neutral that is Prosecco and for all my bronze-y needs, we have the luxurious and rich Molten Bronze that is wonderfully warm and great for just about every occasion that calls for a lick of extra drama.
Admittedly I wouldn't reach for the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Sparkle Sticks daily - and I do think Bobbi Brown missed a trick by not launching these over the festive period - but if you do like glitter and want to be able to wear it with minimal effort, this is definitely the route to take.
