Each month, five fairly generously sized Sisley sample products will arrive neatly packaged to the comfort of your home. I've received the last three Sisley Beauty Boxes, two of which have came presented within smart, wipe clean, zip lock pouches that are ideal for travel. The other selection of goodies arrived encased in a beautiful drawstring bag - I have plans to use to store jewellery when on the go...or maybe even underwear, we'll see how fancy I'm feeling the next time I board a flight.
At this point, I realise it's been two paragraphs and I'm still harping on about packaging but I really appreciate that Sisley keep the outer packaging to a minimum: the products (cute pouch and all) arrive in a padded jiffy envelope, rather than a bulky, cardboard box with excessive cushioning in the form of polystyrene.
Now the concept behind the Sisley Beauty Subscription isn't anything new: each drop is somewhat themed (usually seasonally), the products are small and of the sample variety (some are more generously proportioned than others) and the general idea is that you try before you buy. What is different from other beauty sign ups of this kind is that for a luxury brand, the Sisley version is surprisingly affordable at just under £6 per month.
The downside? Sisley work on a rolling contract basis with two options: six months and a full year (the more months you subscribe, the cheaper the plan is) so it is a commitment regardless of how well priced the concept is. If you are new to Sisley it is arguably a great way to finally try a luxe beauty brand - ditto if you travel frequently and find yourself relying on mini products regularly.
Personally I'd sign up for the cute cosmetic bags alone, the dinky products in my case are a mere bonus.
