Pommade Divine Nature's Remedy Review

Okay, okay I am slightly overshooting with the above post title and I am hoping that you won't ask me to list a hundred uses for Pommade Divine Nature's Remedy, I'd rather share a handful of uses for this iconic product and why it has won me over.

Pommade Divine Nature's Remedy Review

Apparently Pommade Divine Nature's Remedy is over 300 years old and has quite the royal following, I have been told that first by Marie Antoinette's great-grandmother in the early 1700's and then by Queen Victoria herself (a recent noted fan is said to be Sienna Miller), a whole lotta history and perhaps the oldest "celebrity" endorsed product I'll ever use. Blue blood or not, this is great and hard-working multi-tasking balm that is a an altogether more firm in texture alternative to Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream, which I fully appreciate is not for everyone for whatever reason.

A lot like any multi-purpose balm you can use this anywhere on the body that needs a little extra TLC, be that additional moisture, soothing chapped skin or to calm irritated and dare I say it itchy skin. I'm in no way bashing Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream as I do use it and regularly too, however I do wish that it was a little more natural in composition and dare I say, a more powerful healer. This is where Pommade Divine Nature's Remedy comes into play; loaded with antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients of which are 97% natural origin: shea butter, sunflower seed cera, nutmeg oil, clove bud oil, cinnamon leaf oil and cinnamon bark oil gently comforts, cleanses and heals scuffed and dried out skin - it is suitable for use on Eczema and Psoriasis conditions.

The balm itself is extremely firm and does have to be warmed gently with the hands, it does however quickly melt into an almost oil like substance that is quickly absorbed by the skin; be it the hands, body or lips. I do have to point out that as this contains an abundance of essential oils it may be slightly irritating to sensitised skin. I also want to mention that the addition of cinnamon and clove oils do fragrance the balm which may not be for everyone; as may the slight tingle sensation upon first application. The aforementioned cinnamon oil can somewhat sting an chapped skin but it is nothing overly uncomfortable, as an added bonus it does naturally plump the lips and encourages the skin to naturally repair itself a little quicker too. As with a lot of balm textured products a little goes a long, long way - one tub will last for years and will most likely be chucked out due to expiring rather than running out of product.

A slap on, nourishing, healing and multi-tasking balm that will last you forever and a day. I can see why Pommade Divine Nature's Remedy, has been around for centuries. This will be remaining in my bathroom, not just to soothe shaving cuts but to help take the sting out of my eczema too. It is one more staple product for my already heaving shelf and perhaps yours too?
