The One With All The Beauty Baubles

When I think of Christmas I tend dream of Snow, Turkey and the frustration of trying to tie the perfect bow on gifts (Pinterest tutorials don't always run smoothly). I also associate the big day with St.Nick and dazzling Christmas trees, which coincidentally brings me to beauty baubles. Yes, the concept that was once very much a novelty is now big news with several brands offering, dinky, hollow baubles brimming full of cosmetics. Forget popping them in a stocking, hang it proudly on your tree for all to admire, or you could do what I did - max out your credit card, buy one of each, hang on a mini blue Christmas tree and admire your handy work.

As you will later see within this post, some baubles have been created with an element of surprise and others showcase their contents in transparent and often glittery plastic casings. For those who have no time for surprises or perhaps plan on gift wrapping the baubles here is a selection of the best "What You See, Is What You Get" Baubles...

Ghost have a selection of four fragrance baubles to choose from, all of which feature a beautiful glitter flecked bauble and a 5ml bottle of one of their best selling fragrances. I ended up purchasing two Ghost Girl (perfect for those who like younger fragrances) and Ghost Deep Night (deep, vampy and ideal for night wear).

Mavala Christmas Bauble £5 via Boots - link
If ever there was a season to embrace glitter nail polish, it has to be Winter. For just £5 you can be the proud owner of the Mavala Christmas Bauble which contains a full sized bottle of one of their best selling, glitter polishes. I settled on the shade Magic Circus - a green, silver and red glitter flecked nail polish that is ideal for jazzing up any manicure.

The Baubles to Stash Under the Tree

The above gift sets are all technically Christmas baubles, in the sense that they have a loop to hand them upon the tree. The problem is that they are all exceptionally large and weighted which could result in a broken or toppled over tree. For that reason alone, I suggest you prop them up under the tree and admire in a different light.

Soap and Glory Belle of the Ball £12 via Boots - link.
Admittedly I do feel like you are paying for the tin bauble rather than the products inside but if you, or a loved one are a huge Soap and Glory fan, I can imagine that this will go down well. Inside the Soap and Glory Belle of the Ball you will find: three Smoothie Star products - a bath and shower gel, a scrub and a hand lotion, along with a body loofah and body cream.

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Feel Good Tin £17 - link
Probably my favourite festive gift set around, not only do you recieve a large, re-usable apple shaped tin but the products inside are beautifully scented with the less than typical, Glazed Apple fragrance. The Body Shop Glazed Apple Feel Good Tin contains mini sized bath and body products, such as: body butter, body lotion, a body scrub and a shower gel.

I Love Festive Joy Cherry Almond Sparkle Bubble Bath & Shower Créme £4 via Superdrug (in-store only)
For just £4 you can treat yourself or a loved one with a huge, 500ml bottle of I Love Cherry Almond Sparkle Bubble Bath & Shower Créme, that comes complete with a body puff and pretty gift box. In my opinion it smells a lot like Cherry Bakewell Tarts and along with being a great body cleaner, it doubles up as a sweetly scented bubble bath - 'tis the season after all.

A lengthy list with plenty of options, what bauble would like to be gifted the most and why? As a side note what are your general thoughts and feelings, in regards to beauty baubles?
