Chloe Eau de Toilette 2015 Review

Can you believe up until now (yes very late 2015), I have never knowingly experienced the wonder that is the original Chloe fragrance? I'm not sure how that has happened, then again given how I live my life, I often question how I made it to adulthood. As the say better late than never and I can affirm that I am a fan of the sweet, floral nectar that is Chloe Eau de Toilette. I truly get all the hype.

Chloe Eau de Toilette 2015 Review

Chloe Eau de Toilette is a re-work of a past fragrance, loyal fans of the Chloe fragrance house will know that the original Chloe Eau de Toilette, was launched in 2009. Over the last year or so it has slowly been phased out to make way for a somewhat re-jigged, newer Chloe Eau de Toilette edition. Chloe 2015 if you will. As mentioned above I am a little late to the party so I can't comment on how different they may be but a quick Goggle search tells me that the original, 2009 version contained a watermelon note. The new Chloe Eau de Toilette (2015) does not.

Chloe Eau de Toilette is a light, bright and somewhat youthful floral, it contains notes of white rose, followed by a trail of bergamot, lemon, magnolia, gardenia, rose buds, cotton flower and musk. Yes it is a little rose based but thanks to the clean and uplifting notes it is not your typical, dusky nor dated rose offering. Rather it is clean, crisp and oh so easy to wear. I liken it a little to a Spring day - you have the soft, delicate, petal like floral notes coupled with an a gentle, almost aquatic note. I'm told if you enjoy Chloe Eau de Parfum (I'll pop it on my note to Father Christmas) but long for something a smidgen lighter but equally as long wearing that Chloe Eau de Toilette is your gal.
