I have a serious question, do you ever find yourself engrossed with the story of how certain Lush products come to be? Or do you fall into the "as long as smells/looks good, I'm happy" camp? Truthfully depending on my mood I fit either mould; sometimes I tear into my local Lush store like a five year old, hopped up on sugar and other times I enjoy being educated on the newest Lush launches. On my last visit I was given the low down on the beautiful Lush The Experimenter Bath Bomb.
In true Sunday Girl, anti-climatic fashion, it turns out that the back story of the Lush The Experimenter Bath Bomb isn't the most dramatic. Rather it was created to bring the Lush motion movie The Experimenter to life. Less than fascinating on paper but should you have a few spare moments, I suggest you watch this video - link, it will all make sense.
Now we have that oh-so-thrilling story out of the way let me tell you why you should pop a Lush The Experimenter Bath Bomb to your Lush basket - online, or otherwise. First of all just look at it, a huge, multi coloured and faceted, hulking, jewel shaped product that may have you reminiscing of old school Playstation games (you came for the review and stuck around for the Spyro the Dragon reference). If that is not enough it smells incredible - warm, rich and slightly spicy which is only strengthened by the popping candy ingredient. As a final note on the fragrance, this is not one for children despite it's bright appearance, if ever there was a bath bomb worthy of adult status, it is this.
Now for the somewhat downside, after this beauty of a bath product has fizzled out you are left with somewhat murky and shimmery bath water. Now this doesn't have to be necessarily a bad thing, with a little imagination you could pretend to be a swamp monster or the likes? I dunno, what do normal people do in the bath - most likely watch T.V on their iPad and chill out? In a long winded way what I really want to say is that the end result is not the prettiest and it may stain your perfectly white tiles. Other than that Lush The Experimenter Bath Bomb is a fun way to liven up any evening soak in the tub.

Haha well written! I am not a huge fan of those bath bombs, the smell of the shops are just too much to handle imo :D I like to watch my favorite show while chilling out in the bath tub.

This looks so cool, it's such a let down once it disappears though and your bath water just looks a bit dodgy!

I have never used a bath bomb before, they kind of freak me out - what are they made of? Is it just an orb of soap? Lol. Either way I love Lush so maybe I'll have to give them a go at some point.
ReplyDeleteI love Lush bath bombs, this one looks like it will make the bath super colorful :)

I really wanted to try the Experimenter, because as you mentioned it is super pretty and colourful, but I read several people saying that the water turns a greyish, not so pretty colour afterwards... I'd love to see the whole process happen, but I don't want to bathe in weird water :(
