Miu Miu Eau de Parfum Review

Miu Miu Eau de Parfum is the long awaited, first fragrance venture for the brand. A quirky, retro bottle (it has a certain 1970's vibe doesn't it?) that houses what may well be the must have fragrance for the Autumn. Let me share a little information and a few thoughts on Miu Miu Eau de Parfum...

First up the bottle, in my opinion a somewhat unexpected design for a perfume bottle but not so much from a brand who do use a lot of vintage prints and general throwback era for inspiration. A bright blue, come turquoise quilted bottle with a large red stopper lid and golden accents. It has a certain 1970's vibe doesn't that fits the unique, youthful and sophisticated vibe that the brand is so well known for.

The scent itself is not at all what I envisaged from such a fun bottle, before reading up on the notes I assumed that the fragrance would be bright, fruity and almost overly sweet. It is the polar opposite, a deep, floral, robust and almost spice based scent that somewhat reminds me of Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne albeit it with an intense rose kick, it has the same depth, richness and warmth. With each spray of Miu Miu Eau de Parfum I fall in love, it is long lasting and fairly deep, so much so that I wouldn't dream of reaching for this on a warm day. Miu Miu Eau de Parfum is best reserved for the chilly weather and colder seasons.

The note line up is as follows: lily of the valley with jasmine, rose and artificial green notes, and Akigalawood at the top of this fragrance, supported by heart and base notes of patchouli, pepper and oud. It begins as a bright, floral explosion before settling to an almost spice tinged, robust rose fragrance that has a certain vintage quality. It is unlike anything else out there at the moment and as said above it is somewhat unexpected, if you try one new fragrance this year, let it be Miu Miu Eau de Parfum.
