Olivia Palermo x Ciate Fall Collection 2015

The latest launch from Ciate sees the brand once again teaming up with Olivia Palermo for a drop of not only Autumn ready nail colours but beautiful lipstick, cheek colours and more, all in warm seasonal hues. Olivia Palermo x Ciate Fall Collection 2015 is a concise, well thought out variety of products that offers options for all complexions and tastes. As it is available now for pre-order (the last launch sold out almost instantly), I thought now would be a great time to talk you through a few key pieces - wish lists at the ready...

First up we have two new and of course limited edition Olivia Palermo x Ciate Fall Nail Polish both of which have a certain elegance, deep yet decadent hues that will see you into the Winter and beyond with ease. I'd deem the two hues to be modern classics - easy to wear, suit all shades that lend themselves beautifully to work and play. First up we have Ciate Napa Valley - a deep rich red that perhaps could be best described as a Bordeaux? It is the ideal shade to transition into Autumn with and as with any red nail polish it will never go out of style. For those looking for something a little different, may I suggest Ciate New England Fall - a deep, almost navy blue that offers plenty of impact yet isn't as harsh as say a black polish. As with most Ciate polishes, both shades apply wonderfully and are opaque in two quick drying coats.

Yes technically Ciate London is a nail brand the lipsticks within the Olivia Palermo x Ciate Fall Collection 2015 are the stars of the show. Four luxuriously creamy lip colours that not only glide onto the lips with ease, feel wonderfully hydrating, complete with a sophisticated almost matte finish (satin) and more importantly in shades you will want to wear and collect for that matter. Before I break down the shades a little more on the formulation: it is gel like, non-sticky, comfortable, hydrating and fairly long wearing (around 3 hours per application). As an added bonus each shade is not prone to smudging, smearing nor collecting into dry areas or fine lines. Ciate really have out done themselves with this formulation and dare I say packaging too - isn't the bright gold casing something else? It feels every bit as luxurious as it appears.

Now on to the shades, three of which are nudes, each deeper than the last finished with a deep, almost wine tinged red. Like I said above you'll most likely want to collect all four shades. First up we have Ciate Cashmere - a light, yellow tinged pink nude shade that is not worlds apart from MAC Hue Lipstick. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys lighter nude lip colours but wants to avoid the dreaded corpse/concealer effect. Next up we have Ciate Truffle which is almost identical to Cashmere, the may difference is that it has a pink undertone. For those who enjoy a deeper nude I suggest trying Ciate Praline - a warm, pink toned nude that could be described as the love child of MAC Velvet Teddy and MAC Whirl. It is easily my favourite of the bunch. Lastly we have Ciate Velveteen - a deep, old school red that is vampy yet universally flattering.

Lastly I have The Cheekbone Cheat Blusher and Bronzer Duo in Bluff Point - a two in one product that helps create not only perfectly chiselled cheekbones but can also be used to warm the skin, and of course add a healthy flush of colour to the cheeks too. The Ciate Cheekbone Cheat Blusher and Bronzer Duo's come in two shades: Bluff Point and Seaside Park. Each kit contains a sizeable segment of blush and bronzer which can be used individually or swirled together to create a warm, pink toned bronze. As you can see Ciate Cheekbone Cheat Blusher and Bronzer Duo in Bluff Point contains a medium, cool toned bronze that is shimmer free and reminds me a lot of NARS Laguna Bronzer. The other segment is a blush and what a blush, a beautifully pigmented mid tone pink satin finished blush that compliments most light to medium complexions.

Along with all of the above there is also two eye pencil eye liners and an eyeshadow palette to choose from. A beautiful collection wouldn't you agree? What is your favourite item or lipstick shade for that matter?
