New Lush Core Products

Like many I was more than envious of anyone who had access to the new Lush Oxford Street store exclusive products - it really is a treasure trove of bath, body and hair treats and somewhere I fully recommend visiting should you get the opportunity. Now for the good news - Lush have expanded their core collection of products, which now includes a whole array of once Oxford Street exclusive products - feel free to celebrate accordingly. I obviously don't have every new product added to the fold but below is a few preliminary thoughts on a few of the new additions...

New Lush Core Products

Lush The Experimenter Bath Bomb £3.75
If you follow Lush on any social media channel, chances are you will have seen this bath bomb in action. Inspired by Lush's high definition film this brightly coloured vanilla scented bath product, fizzes and explodes in technicolour, complete with popping candy. It is mesmerising to watch.

Lush Pink Flamingo Reuseable Bubble Bar £5.95
Inspired by cocktails and tropical lands this beautiful bubble bar not only looks divine but smells incredible too. It is difficult to say what cocktail this reminds me of but it certainly has a sweet, almost candy come sherbet scent that lingers on the skin. It features rosewood, ylang ylang and macadamia nut oil to smooth and soften the skin. You can expect up to four bubble filled baths from each pink bird...impressive non?

Lush Layer Cake Soap £3.40/100g
Lush soaps are a thing of beauty aren't they? I especially enjoy popping into store around the festive period and marvelling at the huge blocks of soap, I almost (and I say almost) feel sad when they have to disturb the large slabs to cut a slice off. Lush Layer Cake Soap in it's full glory looks like a brightly coloured rainbow, five layers of natural fruit scent so in theory this soap will not only look but smell differently depending on what layers you receive. The good news is that each layer is scented using real fruit juices - raspberry, blueberry, wild grape, pineapple and orange juice so you are guaranteed a bright, uplifting and dare I say it cocktail scented piece regardless.

Lush The Rough with the Smooth Solid Body Scrub £4.95
A solid bar of granulated sugar and murumuru butter combine to make light work of rough, dried out skin. It has been scented with pagan perfume - black pepper oil, patchouli oil and fair trade vanilla. I've yet to give this a whirl but if it is anything like past Lush body scrubs the dry skin on my knees and elbows will quickly become a thing of the past.

Lush Cup O' Coffee Face and Body Mask £6.50
If you don't enjoy the scent of coffee this is not the mask for you. Enriched with coffee grounds this mask gently exfoliated the skin be it on the face or body and as it is brimming full of caffeine it also leaves the skin brightened and plumped.

Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub £7.95
This may be the best smelling product I have ever encountered, salty yet coconut based - it reminds me of two beaches in one deep breath. We have the fresh, sweet coconut which evokes memories of lounging in warm climes and the salt air of a British sea front. In a word beautiful and if someone could make this a stand alone fragrance I think I'd be beyond happy. Fragrance aside this is a wonderful product - a combination of 50% sea salt, lemon and extra virgin coconut oil fuse together to create a moisturising yet exfoliating hand scrub. My hands have never looked better and that is after one quick use.

An exciting line up wouldn't you agree? All of the above products (and more) are being rolled out into Lush stores worldwide and are also available to purchase online via Lush. I will of course pop up individual reviews over the coming weeks but until then, do let me know which product captures your imagination the most.
