I try not to wash my hair at night; I find it leaves me wide awake and of course come night fall the last thing, I want to do is blast the hair dryer, or go to bed with damp hair for that matter. Every now and then I do have to make an exception - perhaps I've been at the gym, or more likely caught in a rain storm - yeah definitely the rain thing. For those late night washes, I have stumbled across a great not only moisturising and nourishing but altogether relaxing hair care duo in Paul Mitchell Tea Tree, Lavender Mint Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner. From the first wash I was hooked.
With a combination of Tea Tree, Lavender and Mint you don't need me to tell you that this smells incredible. It combines function with aromatherapy benefits - the Tea Tree oil helps to prevent and remove dandruff, as well as generally treating stressed out scalps. For the senses there is a gentle blend of Lavender to naturally ease anxiety, coupled with mint to lift the spirits. It is the perfect fragrance to relax and unwind with at the end of the day. Who knew two everyday products could turn something as mundane as washing your hair, into such a blissful experience? Forget a pricey Spa visit I have my shower.
Before I get too carried away, let me tell you a little about the formula of the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree, Lavender Mint Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner. I'm not particularly difficult to satisfy when it comes to shampoo, as long as it cleanses and doesn't dry out my hair, I'm happy. I can report that Paul Mitchell Tea Tree, Lavender Mint Moisturising Shampoo does just that, all the while gently moisturising the hair thanks to a blend of ingredients that includes amino acids: to replenish, hydrate, improve strength, shine and resilience. It lathers up beautifully, deeply cleanses, is safe for coloured hair and ideal for parched, bleached locks. Did I mention it smells amazing?
Conditioner is where I spend more time and money for that matter, I need a deeply nourishing and dare I say it thick texture, it also cant not weigh the hair down. Paul Mitchell Tea Tree, Lavender Mint Conditioner is all of that and more, it gently yet effectively moisturises my hair, is quick acting and offers enough slip to comb out even the most obnoxious of hair knots, snags and tangles. It is seldom that I am able to say that a conditioner is suited to most hair textures but ticks all the boxes; deeply nourishing yet lightweight, coupled with a beautiful, long lasting fragrance.
As odd as it may sound, I can not think of a better pairing for a relaxing hair wash - night or day for that matter.
You can find the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree, Lavender Mint Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner duo via Look Fantastic for £25.75 - link. You can also purchase each product individually which I have linked within the post above.

I've heard about these and was really interested, but I'm a bit worried the tea tree would dry my really coarse hair out. Do you think it would be ok on coarse hair?

Ended up getting this brand! I did go with the volume one (lemon I think) as my hair is so thin now it gets weighed down really easily. If any of you ladies in the states see this, Paul Mitchell is having a buy 2 get one free at Ulta. I snagged the conditioner and the shampoo, and then got a free volumizing spray (full sized)!
DeleteOops and not to exclude male subscribers either. My brother loves this line. I think he especially goes for the hair and body wash that is w/ also tea tree oil. x
