When Lush Oxford Street (London) opened it's doors earlier this year, I greeted such news with mixed emotions; yay new products and oh no, they are exclusive to the store. A store I'll seldom be able to visit - Lush nirvana was so close yet so far. The good news is that an array, of the once limited products are now available both online and in other UK stores. Can I get a hallelujah?
As exciting as the new additions are, I am most excited about the fact I can now purchase Lush The Comforter Shower Cream freely. Now all my shower experiences can be blackcurrant tinged and (get ready for it because it is a zinger) comforting, should I wish. Oh I wish alright.
"Sometimes you just need to shut yourself off from the outside world under a blanket of fruity foam that will put you back in the right frame of mind to face the world. Cassis absolute gives a distinctive blackcurrant fragrance, while bergamot adds an uplifting note."
Summer never really made an appearance within the UK this year, as such I'm looking forward to the Autumn. If it is going to be cold, wet and grey I might as well embrace it non? I can't think of a more perfect, snuggly and warming fragrance that is bright enough to brighten any gloomy morning, yet soft and oddly relaxing - the perfect accompaniment to any evening soak. At this point I really should mention that Lush the Comforter Shower Cream doubles up as a bubble bath, a blackcurrant scented bath foam no less. Heavenly.
If you are familiar with Lush The Comforter Bubble Bar you will know exactly how beautiful, this now iconic scent rings. If not think bright, fruity and berry based; a sweet blackcurrant scent if you will. Fragrance aside this is a great bathing addition: it is light, gentle, cleanses well without drying out the skin and as mentioned above above can be used as a bath foam or even a shampoo. As a side note Lush The Comforter Shower Cream is a crowd pleaser, completely unisex and appealing to all ages. You owe your shower and Monday morning blues a bottle of this fruity elixir.
It turns out good things do come to those who wait!

The Comforter is my absolute favourite bubble bar from Lush so the second this arrived in the other stores I picked up two massive bottles and a small one for my holidays - I'm so happy to finally have it in my life! x

Absolutely love the scent of the Comforter and I'm usually mad about Lush, but I have to say, this doesn't foam well and it's a real shame. I did try this in my hair though and the scent lasted all day!

ReplyDeleteI love LUSH, they have so many good smelling products. This is one that I haven't tried out yet, it's not available on the Norwegian website so I guess I will have to do a little shopping on the UK website :-) x

I love the scent of this! It's also amazing as a bubble bath paired with other Lush bath bombs (especially the blackberry one!)

Ooooo I'm so excited to try this now! Was so upset when they released oxford street, I only go to london once every 3-5 years. It's too busy for me, I just moan about the lack of wind like a true scottish girl!

My mouth starting watering whilst reading the description of the scent. I would be hard pushed not to try and eat it haha! It's so weird, I really love luxurious shower creams/gels but I never want to use them because I don't want to "waste" it haha. I try and save them for nice occasions (basically never) xxx

I'm so glad they decided to make the Oxford St products more widely available, I was so desperate to get my hands on this product in particular. I think next payday will mean a big Lush order for me! xx

I saw this in the Belfast store the other day and I was so so tempted but since I currently have two large soap and glory shower creams on the go as well as a body shop one and a zoella one I resisted. But now this post has tempted me even more... hehe.

I LOVE this shower cream so much! Before this came out, I made my own version of it with the Comforter bubble bar and some none perfumed shower gel. It was pretty similar to this, but not as good. I'm going to try and pick this up as soon as I've used up all the products I have now. :)
