Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

I'm not in the habit of posting two first look posts in one day but when Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette lands on your doorstep, it would be rude not to share. I can't keep this all to myself and quickly snapped some images this morning to coincide with the UK launch details. So here is what I know...

Most importantly Urban Decay Smoky Palette will hit the UK via Urban Decay on the 28th of July and cost £38. As far as I am aware much like the other full sized Urban Decay palettes this will be permanent but I do expect it to sell out several times over. Urban Decay Naked Smoky of course contains 12 large pans of eyeshadow - three palette exclusives from past launches and nine, never seen before hues. If you enjoy deep, smoky sultry shades this is a launch you will not want to miss or of course of you simply want to complete your Naked palette dynasty.

By far this has to be the best Naked packaging to date - a large, plastic case that features a rather cool "floating smoke" effect and hints to the shades inside. The casing is both durable and lightweight, contains a large full sized mirror (and magnetic closure) as well as duo ended blending brush. The general idea behind the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette is to make, sexy come hither eye looks both easy and achievable - it contains easy to apply and blend shades that suit most, a soft brush to blend out harsh lines and surprisingly a step by step guide for various looks.

Unlike the past Urban Decay Naked Palettes - Urban Decay Smoky contains an equal proportion of both warm and cool shades, as well as a great variety of matte, shimmer and metallic finishes. It is easily the most universal with light shades, deep smoky hues and great neutral options too. I didn't think Urban Decay Smoky would be for me but the more I look at it, the more I find myself falling for its charms.

The 12 shades are as follows:
- High (champagne shimmer w/micro-glitter)
- Dirtysweet (medium bronze)
- Radar (metallic taupe w/iridescent micro-glitter)
- Armor (metallic silver-taupe w/tonal sparkle)
- Slanted (light metallic grey)
- Dagger (medium charcoal w/micro-shimmer)
- Black Market (jet-black satin)
- Smolder (deep plum-taupe)
- Password (cool taupe matte)
- Whiskey (rich brown matte)
- Combust (soft pink-taupe)
- Thirteen (light beige satin)

As mentioned above this has literally only just fallen into my lap so I do want to try all the shades with and without primer in the next week before sharing a full detailed review. I did quickly swatch a few shades this morning and can vouch that the quality seems to be what I have come to know Urban Decay for - well pigmented, soft, smooth and easy to blend out.

To recap - this will launch in the UK on the 28th of July via Urban Decay UK, you can sign up here to be notified as soon as it is in stock - link.
