Love Your Age with Lancome Advanced Genifique Concentrate

I don't often speak about campaigns as they aren't really my forte, I'd rather share new launches or a review - to each their own. However Lancome's Love Your Age push has really struck a chord with me, sure it has been created to draw attention to Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate but the sentiment is equally great, if not better than the product.

As a woman in her twenties I feel a lot of pressure to remain looking youthful for as long as humanely possible - ridiculous that ageing should be held in such disregard as truthfully it is a luxury and not one afforded to us all. After one too many sessions of glaring into various mirrors at every angle imaginable on the quest for fine lines, I've decided to stop being so ridiculous. Seriously who cares? Everyone is too wrapped up within their own insecurities to notice my small frown lines and in a few years time I'll be wishing that was the only "problem"I had to deal with. This exactly the feeling behind the Lancome Love Your Age movement - every person is beautiful in their own right and age is not a factor. In laymen's terms enjoy your current age and each and every birthday that follows, even if just for the cake ha!

Now onto the actual product - Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate (a pest to type and most likely an SEO nightmare of a product name), a light serum that has been 14 years in the making and features skin care patents pending up until 2029. The main aim of this serum is repair, be it fine lines, deeper set wrinkles or uneven skin texture using a long list of active ingredients. As an avid fan of Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair II the launch, re-launch and hype surrounding Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate somewhat bypassed me. I have however began using it and here is what I can report - it isn't overly moisturising yet it does dispel any dry areas, almost as if it was resurfacing the skin. Others have reported plumper skin and a reduction in fine lines after as little as a week of use -I'm not quite there but do notice an instant firming sensation as soon as the product is applied to the skin.

I hate to draw comparisons as Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate is a stand alone product but thus far it has done nothing but remind me of Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair II - it leaves my skin feeling and looking revitalised from almost the first use and aids the skins natural recovery process. It has not clogged my pores nor irritated my skin and generally is a joy to use. I must stress that it is very early days within the testing period (just over a week) but I am satisfied enough to continue use. For now I am applying this before my night cream each and every evening and will continue to do so until the bottle is depleted. I am also researching and reading up on all the ingredients within the serum so I can report back with a full in-depth review.

Until then it is a huge yes for the Love Your Age campaign (you can be in with a chance to win a bottle of Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate by taking a selfie, more information here - link) and the serum itself.
