Liz Earle Botanical Essence No15 Eau de Parfum

Liz Earle, a brand synonymous with skin care but as I have found out recently it is not one to overlook when it comes to fragrance. Liz Earle Botanical Essence No15 Eau de Parfum is the one that swayed me - a fruity, rich and utterly unexpected scent that may just change how you view Liz Earle forever.

Liz Earle Botanical Essence No15 Eau de Parfum not only comes in classic style packaging, that somewhat hints at the beautiful fragrance inside. It is also constructed from 90% natural ingredients which have been derived from sustainable sources - very true to the brand's ethos and I feel it can make the scent that little more enjoyable. Personally I think deep down we all seek out ethically responsible products where available and as they always say natural is best.

The scent itself is deep and velvety smooth, like a good congac and features notes of Damask Rose, Indian Sandalwood coupled with spicy notes of Pink Pepper and Bergamot. It is seductive, sexy and perhaps best suited for night wear. The official description does not make any mention of a currant note but I can definitely smell a hint of berry on the dry down. As far as fragrance reviews go I always find a comparison point to be the easiest way to gauge if I should test this in store or not, of course this only works if you are familiar with said scent. In my opinion Liz Earle Botanical Essence No15 Eau de Parfum reminds me of a slightly less fruity version of Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne. I'd also add that the Liz Earle version is more intense (cheaper by £40) and as a result longer wearing.

Forget Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish,  Liz Earle Botanical Essence No15 Eau de Parfum is my new brand favourite.
