New Barry M Make Me Blush Powders

A whole range of new Barry M products have just launched both online and in-store, if you are considering sprucing up your make-up bag for the new season I firmly suggest hot footing it to your local Barry M display and stocking up! One of my favourite new additions is the three new shades of Barry M Make Me Blush Powders - bright, pigmented and budget friendly.

The new Barry M Make Me Blush Powders come in pretty but basic packaging - a small, transparent and white plastic casing that isn't the most robust but should survive a knock or two. The design is small, making it perfect for popping into the smallest of make-up bags, be it for travel or everyday use. At just £3.99 each you can't really ask for more - I rather like that Barry M have kept the packaging simple - no brush or sub standard mirror that you will never use.

The three new shades are: shade 1 - Knickerbocker Glory, a bright coral come peach that has a strong orange undertone. It is very similar to Dior Tie Dye Blush in Coral Sunrise, should you be looking to dupe it. Shade 2 - Fairy Cake is a bright, blue based candy pink that is not world's apart from MAC Pink Swoon blush. Lastly there is shade 3 Jam Tart - a warm, slightly burnt orange come coral blush, ideal for creating a sun kissed look without using bronzer.

At £4 the Barry M Make Me Blush Powders exceed expectations in terms of pigment, they are beyond bright and will translate well on to all skin tones. The matte formulation is forgiving as it does not settle into open pores, wear well (up to 8 hours before fading) and can be used to sculpt to some degree. The downside is that the blush formulation is a little dry and chalky, not to mention prone to fall out. At less than £5 they are great for a quick pop of colour without breaking the bank, not to mention one shade dupes a Dior blush which is nearly 10 times the price!
