Weekly Favourites

As I spent the day with my Mother, Grandmother and Sisters celebrating Mother's Day I am a little behind in regards to posting my Weekly Favourites. I'm sure everyone was panic stricken...not. None the less I am going to go with my current catchphrase and mantra - "Better late than never".

The good, no scratch that - the great news is that my acne is really healing up nicely, as I write this I am currently blemish free and will be embarking on treatment for the scarring. I have taken some before images of my skin before I start treatment so should anything work I have a reference point to share. I'm just so happy not to have huge, under the skin cysts that are both unsightly and painful as well as being able to use my skin care items once more. At the moment I have been really enjoying Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum which is a light repairing serum for young-ish skins. It lightly hydrates, smooths and brightens. For a quick but effective cleanse I am back on the Origins Clear Improvement Mask Train. I have yet to put the other two masks I got in this kit for £20 to the test but I will report back as soon as possible.

At night currently on my bedside table is E45 Repair and Protect Overnight Hand Cream which not only quenches the driest of skins but also helps prevent premature ageing. On my lips it has been all about L'Occitane Shea Butter Lip Balm which is beyond hydrating yet light weight - perfection.

In celebration of clear skin I have been keeping my make-up to a minimum, sometimes less is more and then again sometimes more is more ha! Anyway on my eyes I really enjoy a quick dab of Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach all over the lids, a quick slick of mascara and I consider my eyes to be done. Well "done" enough for everyday wear. I have rediscovered my love for the Illamasqua Sculpting Powder Duo in Heliopolis and Lumos which creates a soft yet sculpted look. On My lips it has been all about Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks, truthfully I have not been religious too one shade as I own a good few - it really has been whatever comes to hand. My current fragrance of choice has to be Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana Eau de Parfum, this is light, floral and refreshing. Utterly perfect for day wear.
