Philosophy Fresh Cream Collection

Vanilla based fragrances are something I am forever drawn to, I like the sugar sweet lightness of such note - it can be creamy, romantic and comforting in one quick spritz. If you are not a fan of fruity or floral scents yet crave something light for the Spring/Summer season then you may want to pay your local Philosophy counter a visit and hone in on the new Philosophy Fresh Cream Collection.

"This indulging blend of creamy vanilla, sweet macadamia and spun sugar is a delightfully smooth silky treat. enjoy the essence of fresh whipped cream, enhanced by soft floral notes of almond blossom and heliotrope, and decadent vanilla milk and tonka bean."

Humour me - in my opinion the Philosophy Fresh Cream Eau de Toilette is creamy, almost dairy like and reminiscent of thick, ice-cream based vanilla milkshake (maybe I frequent Johnny Rockets too often). It has a sugary sweet edge that is very childlike and will have you walking down memory lane in no time. If you dislike musk based vanilla based scents and crave for something a little creamier and dare I say fresher this is the way to go - this isn't a warm vanilla, rather it has a sugary almost marshmallow/cupcake vibe. Admittedly it won't be for everyone but a good few will fall in love at first test. Despite being an Eau de Toilette I find Philosophy Fresh Cream is fairly long wearing on the skin and a great scent to layer with others - I rather like a blend of Philosophy Fresh Cream and Narciso Rodriguez for Her Eau de Toilette.

If you do like to layer your fragrance you may be pleased to know that the Philosophy Fresh Cream Collection also contains a Fresh Cream 3-in-1 Shampoo, Shower Gel and Bubble Bath (£19.50). This huge bottle can be used to create oodles of bubbles in a warm bath, to cleanse and fragrance the body and/or as a gentle shampoo. Truthfully I don't recommend using it as a shampoo if you have dry and/or coloured hair regularly but as the odd treat it should be more than okay.

Now you can have your cake and wear it (I also like to eat it but that is a story for another time).

You can find both of the two new Philosophy Fresh Cream Collection via John Lewis - link.
