Excuse the extremely lame post title but it is true at the moment I can not get enough of Daisy based fragrances. I blame the recent bright weather and the change of seasons, I want something light, cheery and carefree. Does anything tick such box quite like a daisy based scent? In my opinion no! The good news is that you don't have to fork out to indulge in such light, floral note as there are some great high street bargains readily found on the UK high street.

This is my second Lily Flame Candle in Daisy Dip (£8.50), not because I am excessive (news flash - I am) but rather a good friend read my gushing post about the aforementioned candle and bought me it as a gift. So very kind and I am so very thankful. Gratitude aside this is a beautiful, light floral fragrance that reminds me ever so slightly of the Marc Jacobs Daisy range. Admittedly it is not an exact dupe but it definitely channels the same vibe and is the perfect fragrance to burn now the evenings are becoming lighter. In a nutshell? A light, cheery floral that is not too strong yet has a lingering presence. I can't get enough.

I of course could not compose a post on my favourite Daisy products without a little nod to Marc Jacobs Daisy  Dream Eau de Toilette (from £47). Not only is the bottle dreamy - yep I cringed as I typed that, forgive me. I can say without a moment of hesitation that if you like the original Marc Jacobs Daisy you will of course want to add this to your collection. I would describe Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette as a lighter version of the original Daisy - it smells very similar yet different at the same time. On first mist you would swear it was a weaker version of Daisy and yet once it dries down the heedy violet note that the first Daisy scent is famous for somewhat disappears allowing the fruity notes of blackberry, grapefruit, pear and coconut water to shine through. It is like a breathe of fresh air - I liken it to a warm spring day, spent picnicking in the park. Light, effortless, feminie and difficult not to love.

If you are looking for a more affordable but equally delightful Daisy based scent then I fully recommend The Library of Fragrance Daisy Cologne  (£15). This is a beautiful, airy, clean and bright floral. It is very similar to the above Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette only perhaps a little less powdery and dare I say it longer wearing. Personally if I am wearing any Marc Jacobs Daisy fragrance I tend to pop The Library of Fragrance Daisy Cologne into my handbag and use it to top up my fragrance throughout the day. Although not identical it is more than suitable to refresh without draining your more expensive fragrance collection.
