Budget

With Mother's Day this coming Sunday you may be looking out for some inexpensive but lovely gifts for someone special in your life? It may not be for your Mother or even a relative but someone you simply want to say thank you to? Not a problem I have a good few suggestions that may help those lacking a little inspiration.

If your chosen loved one happens to enjoy a good bath or two (who doesn't?) then you should hot foot it to Lush and stock up on their beautiful and limited edition Mother's Day products. In my household the Yummy Mummy Body Conditioner and Shower Gel has went down well as has the cute and aptly named Mother Superior Bubble Bar. For something more classic the Lush Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb would be my suggestion - like a bunch of roses in bath product form.

Perhaps the person you have in mind to gift is a huge bath and body fan then I can not think of a better gift set than the huge Sanctuary Spa with Love Gift Set which is currently half price at Boots. It contains a whole array of bath and body treats including scrubs, lotions, shower gels and bath soaks in two of Sanctuary Spa's best selling fragrances. The keep safe box all the goodies come within is also rather beautiful.

I'll be the first to say that I love a pretty bouquet but truthfully they can be rather expensive and short lived, why not tap into the floral theme with a beautifully scented candle or fragrance. My main suggestions would be just about any candle from Lily-Flame - they are so well priced, burn really well and fragrance a whole room. My current favourites have to be Lily-Flame Daisy and Mango-Fandango. As a child I used to gift both my Mother and Grandmother with Daffodils from the front garden so I get a huge kick from The Library of Fragrance Daffodil Cologne which can be worn alone or layered with other scents.

It can't be just my mother who is obsessed with hand creams? If that sounds familiar then perhaps she would appreciate the Roger & Gallet Floral Handcream Gift Set which contains three floral scented, full sized 30ml hand and nail creams. If your budget is particularly stretched you can also purchase the Roger & Gallet Floral Handcream's individually.

I mentioned yesterday my bargain find at Boots - three Origins face masks for just £20 which would also make a wonderful gift for Mother's Day. You could perhaps create a little bespoke pamper kit with the masks, a new mug, some sweet treats and a new book for your loved one to have a blissful Sunday evening?

I think it often pays to think outside the box and/or treat your loved one with something a little unexpected or something they wouldn't regularly treat themselves to? I know my Mother is terrible at replacing her make-up brushes so between me and you I have purchased her the Real Techniques Nics Picks Make-Up Brushes which is a great starter kit or booster for any make-up lover and is currently discounted by £10.

Whatever you purchase I am more than sure your Mother, Grandmother and/or special lady within your life will love it - just remember it is the thought that counts!
