Quick Fix Facial Purifying Charcoal Mask

One thing I get asked a lot about is dupes, mostly make-up dupes but it seems that one face mask has a lot curious. I am of course talking about Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Face Mask, a staple within my and many others skin care stash for several years now. I am a dedicated fan and most likely always will be but there is a relatively new face mask on the block that is a close rival -
Quick Fix Facial Purifying Charcoal Mask.

I know what you are thinking, when it comes to Charcoal Masks the possibilities are endless and I agree, however not all deliver great results. The Quick Fix Facial Purifying Charcoal Mask has an almost identical texture to the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Face Mask and offers similar results.

The Quick Fix mask has been formulated with active Charcoal which many will know to be rich in minerals that deeply cleanse the skin, clearing pores and removing trapped dirt and general toxins. I know some accredit Charcoal face masks with helping shrink pores which I wish was true but it can give the illusion of smaller pores due to the cleansing power. If you have congested skin Charcoal does seem to be the wonder ingredient - it also helps to speed up the healing process of any existing blemishes. This particular mask also contains Dragon Fruit which I have been told is naturally high in Vitamin C - such addition helps to keep the skin supple and enhance radiance which I find evident upon removing the mask. Lastly the Quick Fix Facial Purifying Charcoal Mask contains Cinnamon extract which happens to be a natural antiseptic and astringent - the idea is that it will not only help to heal and clear blemish prone skin but soothe and reduce redness. Not bad for change from a fiver!

In my opinion the main differences between the two masks is the drying properties: Origins Clear Improvement is a little more gentle yet deeply cleanses and somewhat offers oil control. I'd even say it is gentle enough for dry to sensitive skin types. The Quick Fix Facial Purifying Charcoal Mask on the other hand is a little more drying and can leave my skin feeling a little stripped, not really a problem for someone with overly oily skin but perhaps a little too harsh for sensitised skin types.

Maybe Quick Fix Facial Purifying Charcoal Mask isn't an outright dupe but it comes pretty darn close!
