Pixi Glow Mist

I think the vast majority of us will agree that our skin is either currently dry or dehydrated thanks to a pretty grim Winter which has yet to pass. With that in mind I am sure I will be forgiven for stating that most of us will also be looking for a quick fix? Well what if said quick fix was also multi-functional and costs a mere £15? Let me introduce Pixi Glow Mist.

I guess it could be said that Pixi Glow Mist is a new sister product to the already cult Pixi Glow Tonic. Pixi Glow Mist is a somewhat compact mist that has been formulated to create a glowing, luminous and smooth complexion. It has been enriched with 13 natural oils along with propolis, aloe vera and fruit extracts. This smells utterly delicious and delivers a super fine mist that is nourishing and instantly hydrating not to mention cooling. It can be used as a moisturising primer before make-up, after make-up for an additional glow and to set or throughout the day to further hydrate the skin. If like myself you like to try things out in a less than conventional way you will be pleased to know that this also doubles up as a fine hair oil - perfect for sealing split ends. Having long hair this was a happy accident during the trial period but hey as long as works who is complaining.

As you can most likely see the Pixi Glow Mist contains oil which you do have to shake to activate before use, although I am an advocate of facial oils I do have to say that for some reason I found this a little daunting. I worried that the oil in the mist would create a heavy, greasy formulation that would be less than ideal for not only over make-up but blemish prone skin too. Not the case at all, once misted on to the skin the formulation is light, refreshing and instantly hydrating, it does overwhelm my skin which can be both oily and acne prone. It doesn't irritate nor does it remove my make-up - something I oddly worried about due to the oil concentration. I have tried this spray as a primer and although it did leave my skin glowing it did not prolong the wear of any product applied on top. I find it is best used on bare skin to achieve a subtle moisturising glow or lightly misted over make-up throughout the day.

If like myself you do tend to over powder (one of the problems with oily skin) and find that every now and then your make-up appears a little cakey or heavy this is the mist you want. A quick spritz of Pixi Glow Mist and the heavy, powdery finish is gone - the skin feels refreshed and your make-up looks as fresh as it did in the morning. In my opinion this is where the Pixi Glow Mist is best utilised.
