You may recall me waxing lyrical about Kai Perfume Oil last Spring? Kai is one of my favourite Spring fragrances as it is so green, clean and floral; a blend of Gardenia, Jasmine, Lily and Tuberose. If ever a scent personified the lush greenness of Spring in bloom it is this. You may have heard of Kai due to it being a huge and I mean huge celebrity favourite and some what Hollywood secret? If like myself you are already a fan then the addition of three new products may excite you, if not let me familiarise you with the beautifully scented brand.
Kai Body Butter £43/181ml
Body butters in general are heavenly, a thick creamy body moisturiser that more often than not is quickly absorbed and beautifully scented. All of this Kai Body Butter is and more not to mention apparently one of Oprah's favourite things ever. The Kai Body butter is of course gloriously fragranced with the signature Kai scent but the texture is really what sells this product, imagine the softest soufflé texture that is thick but not at all heavy. It instantly melts into the skin leaving anywhere it is applied beyond soft and supple, it even makes light work of nourishing my parched dried out and rather dry skin on my legs.
Kai Body Buffer Sponges £33 for two
If you purchase one thing from the Kai range let it be the Kai Body Buffer Sponges. Each pack contains two large firm sponges that are infused with Kai body wash to not only cleanse and fragrance the skin, thanks to the texture of the sponge gently buff and tone the skin too. You simply pop the sponge under running water for a few seconds to dampen and then use it all over the body to exfoliate and cleanse in one quick step. Each sponge lasts up to 30 showers, if you are looking for an at home spa treatment that won't eat away at your entire evening this should be your next purchase. To say I am obsessed is an understatement, yes they are slightly novel but they do offer great results immediately not to mention they Kai Body Buffer sponges are quick and easy to use.
Kai Body Polish £36/235ml
Perhaps the above sponges aren't quite what you have in mind when it comes to body scrubs and perhaps perfer something more traditional? In that case the Kai Body Polish should be right up your alley. A gel based scrub that contains natural salt and sugar rather than exfoliate beads to gently buff your skin into a state of softness. The Kai Body Polish has a slightly oily base to ensure that the skin is protected and moisturised during the exfoliation process meaning if like myself you do tend to have a heavy hand you will not do your skin any damage. Easily one of the most luxurious body scrubs I have ever had the pleasure of testing.
The vast majority of Kai products are available within the UK via Cult Beauty - link and also Liberty both online - link and in-store, should you want to try before you buy.
