New Gosh Eyelight Trio Palettes

As part of Gosh's Spring/Summer collection the brand will be releasing four new metallic eyeshadow palettes - two with a bright, bold colour scheme and two more neutral based for those with a daring taste. I was kindly gifted two to try out and have to say for £6.99 each they aren't half bad...

My main grumble in regards to the Gosh Eyelight Trio Palettes is the packaging - the lightweight plastic casing is really flimsy and fairly difficult to open. Each palette has a push release button which is a little stiff and tricky to open - I often worry that if I push the button too firmly I will damage the packaging. On the plus side each trio is well sized, slim and lightweight making them perfect for travel.

As mentioned I was sent two of the new Gosh Eyelight Trio Palettes to test out: 003 Chunky Chocolate, this contains a bright yet light peachy metallic bronze, a light lilac toned glitter based mauve and lastly a deep metallic chocolate brown. If blue eyeshadow is your calling then you may want to invest in Gosh Vanilla Sky - a bright, satin white, a lightly metallic blue based aqua and a deep metallic navy blue.

I won't pretend that the overall formulation of the Gosh Eyelight Trio Palettes isn't a little dry, crumbly and prone to fall out but other than that I don't have any complaints. The texture is surprisingly easy to blend, doesn't cling to any fine lines and is well pigmented. Teamed with a primer and/or base product you will easily gain at least 8 hours of true colour wear even on the oiliest of eyelids free from creasing. At £6.99 a palette they are well sized and really well coordinated in terms of shade making them perfect for beginners and seasoned make-up wearers alike.

The Gosh Eyelight Trio Palettes will cost £6.99 each when they launch later this month via Superdrug.
