Hand serum? Yes and why not, our hands are one of the first places that show signs of ageing and yet it the area so many of us seemingly forget to protect. Aveda Hand Relief Night Serum makes complete sense to me, we use serum on our faces for extra hydration, protection against ageing and of course to make any product applied on top so why not our hands too?
Aveda Hand Relief Night Serum has been formulated to to reduce the signs and for young skin types help prevent them from occurring in the future - prevention is better than a cure after all. It also works to reduce dark spots as well as evening out skin tone leaving the skin on the hands feeling and looking plumper by smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles.
The texture of the Aveda Hand Relief Night Serum is light and creamy based, it is not as fluid as a typical serum rather it reminds me of that of a body lotion. It is quickly absorbed by the skin and has no greasy residue, despite the silky texture it immediately hydrates the skin - more so than many hand creams I own. You can use Aveda Hand Relief Night Serum as a stand alone treatment or in the typical serum sense - a base for a hand cream to go on top off which couldn't be more perfect for dried out winter skin. I can't type up a review of the this hand serum and not quickly mention the beautiful lemon/citrus scent, it does somewhat linger on the skin but as this is intended for night use I can't see that being a problem for many.
If you have resolved to taking better care of your hands this year or simply want to step up your hand care routine this is the product for you. I keep mine on my bed side table and apply each night before bed and my hands are perfectly soft despite the cold and wet weather. I can't recommend it enough for dried out skin and hey who doesn't want to keep their skin looking youthful?

A bit expensive to apply throughout the day (I think I apply hand cream like 20 times in a day, not shitting you) so like you I would probably keep this on my nightstand. For pre-bedtime pampering :-)
ReplyDeleteI've heard about this and am quite tempted as I suffer from really dry hands, especially in the winter which can be quite painful. The price does put me off though! x
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting. My hands have been so dry lately.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so good, a wee bit pricey for a hand cream through. But I suppose if its used as a night cream rather than carried around in your bag it could be justified.

I love me some Aveda!
ReplyDeletePricing is a bit steep, but I have heard great things about aveda products and I wouldnt rule out giving this brand a try. My hands are always really dry from work and I find that a good handcream is crucial for me. I am currently loving the Elizabeth arden hand cream!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the interesting review and I hope you have a nice day ♥

Not sure if I could use it as my palms sweat and would affect the effect of the hand serum used..
