Tomorrow is the first of December. Yikes! I don't know about you but along with the excitement of the festive period, I get little pangs of disappointment due to the fact that I have not accomplished all my goals I set of for 2014. Four weeks is a hella short time to fit in a years worth of resolutions, not to bring anyone down or anything ha! Anyway here is what I have been enjoying for the last seven days...
When it comes to skin care I am not one to slap on lots of lotions and potions in one go. I cleanse, tone (sometimes), moisturise and treat - that's really it. At the moment my skin is fairly dehydrated so Clarins Blue Lotus Oil is a must, along with Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream. Both re-store and rebalance my skin and have certainly improved any dryness. I also highly recommend Nuxe 24HR Soothing and Rehydrating Fresh Mask, this is a highly nourishing yet lightweight mask that quickly eradicates any dryness all the while leaving the skin plump and glowing. A Winter skin care staple for sure. I also want to give a quick shout out to Bioderma Eye Contour Gel - this is light enough for young skin types yet deeply hydrating at the same time. No it isn't anti-ageing but it is a great everyday eye cream.
Much like my skin care routine this week my make-up has been simple yet effective. I have been teaming up Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - this gives me a natural yet high coverage finish that is comfortable and long lasting. I have also been slapping on Blistex Mediplus Lip Balm with gusto and my my lips have never looked better! Kiss me quick eh!
I'm glad the weather is now chilly enough for me to wear Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum daily. As many will know this is my signature scent and if I am entirely honest I don't always feel myself without a quick mist. Bizarre but it is like an old friend, comforting and oh so familiar. The lasting power is second to none and like I said I just can't be without it.
What have you been enjoying lately?
I love Alien! One of my favourite scents and I have added yet another bottle to my Christmas list. I want to try some Bioderma products, after trying out several micellar waters, I want to try theirs x

I recently got a sample of Clarins BB cream and really liked it! It was a little dark though so will have to visit a counter to see if the next shade would be a better match. Really like the sound of Origins Mega-Mushroom cream as well - the whole range sounds great actually! (: x

Lately I've been dabbling in my BB Creams again. I need something hydrating and lightweight during these colder months. I've never tried Clarin's BB Cream, though I did just get a few samples of their other products that I really like. I may give this a try once I've used up my other BBs! Thanks.

The NUXE mask sounds incredible and is definitely a product of theirs that I need to try out! I also am a huge Blistex lover, something about it just heals chapped lips so quickly.

I need that NUXE mask in my life! I've been loving their comfortable day cream as my skin pretty much drinks it up in this weather, and a mask from the same line? yesssss please!
