As most will know I am no stranger to a Lush purchase or two and as I don't have a bath tub most of said splurges involve a shower product or two. A new favourite of mine has to be Lush Whoosh Shower Jelly - an uplifting but utterly fun addition to any cleansing ritual. I dare you not to fall for its happy scent and bizarre texture!
"If you’re a little wobbly with over-tiredness, Whoosh will give you the oomph you need. Its zingy fragrance and slinky feel will blast away fatigue, especially if you chill this jelly in the fridge or freezer beforehand. We've mixed seaweed, fresh citrus juices, rosemary and geranium oils into this pot. Scoop some of the gel out and use like a soap to cleanse and lift away dead skin cells, leaving you brighter and fresher."
Apparently Lush Whoosh Shower Jelly has been named after the sound of deadlines whizzing by - whoosh! Yep we've all been there. It has been created to re-energise both the body and mind, to help you muster up the energy to get whatever the day (or night) entails done and dusted. Fragrance wise I would describe this as a mix between being a cooling, refreshing aquatic scent coupled with zesty citrus notes. It smells good enough to eat and does help to perk me up in the mornings and put a smile on my face - that may be due to the jelly texture but a win is a win!
You can use any Lush Shower Jelly in a whole manner of ways, you can freeze it, chill it or use it straight from the tub - which is my preference. It is really slippery so do make sure you have a tight grip of it or you will be chasing it around in the shower which is more frustrating than amusing.
I find the Shower Jellies to cleanse really well but they do not foam quite as much as a typical
shower gel but let's face it they are oodles more fun!

I used to work at Lush and loved demonstrating the shower jellies to people, they are so much fun! Whoosh is perfect for waking me up in the mornings too. I recommend using a shower puff with it, it makes it last longer as you don't have to use as much to get it foaming!

The color & apparent jelly texture piqued my interest, but I'd have to get a whiff of it in person to truly tell. :] // itsCarmen.com ☼ ☯
ReplyDeleteI used to have this and whilst I loved the colour (alot of fun turning my shower turquoise!) and scent I just found the slippery nature of the product quite annoying,it meant I ended up wasting quite a bit!

I love the scents of the shower jellies but I'm always chasing them around my shower which sucks. I keep meaning to freeze them but the idea of putting something that's been in the freezer on my skin puts me off! x
