From the get go I'm just going to say I utterly adore Urban Day All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. As a gal with really oily skin anything that helps to prolong make-up I am all over and more than eager to try. I do swear by Urban Decay De-Slick Spray hence why I put off purchasing the All Nighter version but pushed I would say that the latter is better. I would still recommend De-Slick for oily skin particularly in warmer climates. I will pop up a comparison post in the coming days but for now let me share my thoughts on Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray...
"All Nighter keeps your make-up looking gorgeously just-applied for up to 16 hours – without melting, cracking, fading or settling into fine lines. Developed in an exclusive partnership with SKINDINÄVIA, our groundbreaking, clinically tested formula is suitable for all skin types and features patented Temperature Control Technology. Yep, this baby actually lowers the temperature of your make-up to keep foundation, eyeshadow, blush and concealer in place - even in hot and humid or cold and windy conditions. The result? Smoother-looking skin and vibrant make- up that lasts all day (or all night)."
Simply put this works - I like to think of it as hair spray for your face only this is gentle on the skin and doesn't leave your complexion feeling tight, sticky nor does it clog pores. In fact once applied you can not feel nor detect it - it won't change the colour or finish of any make-up but will set it firmly in place. A quick all over mist once you have completed your make-up and you can pretty much guarantee that everything is staying put - particularity foundation, blush and products of that nature. I find my foundation stays fresher for longer, doesn't fade, become patchy and oil is more controlled than usual (after 7 or 8 hours my cheeks do become a little oily as does my t-zone). It is very much the same thing for blush, bronzer and highlighter be it powder, cream or liquid. I am afraid I don't find this does much for my eye make-up and do tend to use a "normal" primer and steer clear from misting this near my eye area. I don't use this daily but do rely on it if I have to be out all day and night without the want nor means to constantly re-touch my make-up. For a night out or those who just want their make-up to stay in place all day long (I'm talking a good 10 hours for normal/dry skin and around 8 hours for oily skin) you really can not fault the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.
A huge thumbs up from me.

This is one of my favorite setting sprays. My absolute favorite is by Skindinavia, but the Urban Decay one has a better price tag :)

The only setting spray I've used is the e.l.f one, which didn't do much for me at all! Would love to give this a go! Great post xx

Just received this from Sephora! I ordered teh two pack which was $39! And each bottle is worth $30 so that's a steal! :)
ReplyDeleteThis definitely helps give makeup a little extra staying power on my oily skin! Almost out of my mini size & will definitely repurchase the full size in future :)

I really need to invest in something like this, I always hate the feeling of make-up slipping off when you've made a big effort!

I own this product and I absolutely love it. I have oily skin so it's perfect in keeping my make up last all night long. I also love have there's not a strong smell when you spray it on your face.

I'd never given this product much thought before, but I just love it now! I've loved the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer for years, but I've used Laura Mercier's primer for oily skin and felt that was enough to keep my makeup on. Wrong! I had my make-up done for a wedding I was a bridesmaid at, the MUA used this as the finishing spray, and I swear, my make-up didn't budge for the next 12 hours! I only started looking a bit shiny after a couple of energetic hours of dancing at the end of the night! Given I have an oily t-zone, and I'd normally expect some sheen within 4-5 hours at the latest, this one was pretty much magical! I don't use it a lot, unlike you, I do feel like it forms a bit of a mask over the face, and I get slightly concerned that I'm not letting my skin breathe properly, but for big event days and nights, it's what I reach for.
